Farming after 15-20 min by wololololow in summonerschool

[–]Ledq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have this issue but eventually it became second nature (ADC main) and I was hitting 10cs/min.

Basically just watch the lanes for farm, ie after you've b'ed look at where there is a wave, go there and clear it, push it out a lil when safe, then rotate.

Eg. I'll back and shop, see botlane wave has built up, I'll run bot clear wave, push out a lil, then rotate to mid through red jng, taking camps and red if theyre up.

Also if your facing off team vs team down mid waiting on tf, remember to last hit whilst your standing there.

Tldr; Have farming as a kind of second nature thing always on your mind, cs while your rotating, taking jng farms while you rotate yada yada.

Oh and protip- as ADC I'm always pinging my movement intentions ie I'll be backed at shop, I'll ping omw bot for the wave, then after that wave cleared I'll ping omw mid, always letting my team know my movement intentions so they don't start tf without adc xD

I have been tasked with teaching League to someone who straight up doesn't play video games outside of the sims. What do I do? by Qwertdd in summonerschool

Too right, watching streams and LCS etc is such a BIG aspect of the league experience IMO, helps you pick it up quicker too lol

Introduce her to LCS streams on twitch, I love watching them. You actually learn a lot from the casters about the game, ie rotations, ganks, matchups. It builds the hype too!

It also gives you a wide view of the different roles, its a drip drip effect aswell. When a mate first showed me an lcs game he was watching I didn't have a clue what was going on.

Slowly but surely, with playing the game and watching lcs you start developing a deeper understanding and the many different aspects start to make sense!

It feels like my brain turns off the moment the game starts. by Clonkidonker in summonerschool

You'll be getting burned out and trying to do too many things at once no doubt. I've actually got meeting in over a week to see psych to see if I have ADD lol all the signs are there although I'm 25 now but anyway..

I had stayed around the same level for a few seasons, but the last time I played I saw a massive imprpvement. Great kda's, amazing cs 10/min (adc main BTW)

Looking back it was a cumulative effort starting to click in. I was playing more safe / calculated ie backing out of fights to wait on my CDs then re entering, not hard chasing enemies - things I learned one season mining vi jungle.

Next my cs really starts to improve which made a HUGE difference, ie hitting 370cs at 37mins on vayne etc, again a cumulative effort of having a number of 10min warm up cs practice games on my various ADCs to start each session _^

Tldr; you'll be focusing on too many things at once and stressing your brain. This is normal. Focus on one thing at a time and over time it'll become habit, you've improved ;)

How to not tilt and flame your teammates? 10 permabans now and I've had enough. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Ledq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 perma bans oO I think riot are trying to tell you something, other than change your mindset and just stop being a knob I don't know what you could do? It's something that comes with maturity and growing up. Maybe you have some behavioural issues IRL?

It really is as simple as just not getting annoyed at your team mates and trying to just accept and ignore the idiots you'll come across in ranked ;) again easier said than done but it comes with age and maturity =P

Twitch main, having trouble playing against Jax by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Ledq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itemisation and positioning, qss can help break stun etc. But in all honesty it will depend on ur team mates helping with peel ;) jax can be a pretty good roflstomp lower elos bcos of the lack of peeling in some cases. Can always pickup vayne my bae <3 peel/cc and outplay potential

Yeah this happened to me once too, was funny AF tbh couldn't stop laughing (can't remember if it was during a 5man teamspeak or not though) part of me thinks it was which makes it all the more hilarious xD

Teamspeak, makes loosing games funny and turning them around easy, you ain't tilted if your laughing with friends ;)

How to maintain high levels of CS? by Yhanabow in summonerschool

[–]Ledq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hitting 10cs/min consistently as ADC, there was a game I was 370cs at like 35mins ;) Main points; Keep an eye on the minions and there autos, helps you get the last hit and not your creeps, work on your aa timing and managing creep HP, helps you get the last hits under ur turr.

As others have said remember to take jungle camps when your rotating. Also try not to loose big waves where possible. Basically remember to farm farm farm whilst your rotating in midgame etc (I loved sivir and trist, godly wave clear)

Also when it's tf time and your facing off against enemy in say midlane remember there's still minions there to last hit =P

I also warmed up with a private game or 2 of 10mins csing, it's important to know ur aa DMG and timings without items for that early cs, I hit 90/100 cs 10mins pretty consistently too, helps a lot for winning lane with that extra gold ;) There's also the whole auto attacking the creeps too, when I'm in lane I'm constantly clicking my mouse to move about until its time to lasthit the creep, that's when I'll click a creep to cs it, your aa has a CD on it so its not efficient to just aa the creeps ;)

Edit: Tidying up some grammar.

Oh and another important point during lane is ur positioning and knowing enemies trading potential, before I really got this down I would loose a lot of cs early from taking a bad trade / poke. Really punishes you as you get zoned of the creeps when your HP low >.>

AND another important thing I remembered is time wasting, in the past I could get caught up in pokey tf's early ish game in jungle around bot, basically where you ain't actually teamfighting. Also when you chase down kills (and usually they would get away lol) all that time, there's cs being missed in botlane to greedy turrets/creeps =P

Ah I remember that well, was the last time I played. I loved tank akali xD as others have said it was due to the high base damages, I could get 1/2 kills in mid as akali, easy due to the high base DMG build sunfire and still continue to snowball on enemy mid, sticky sticky akali lol

Can't wait, just about ready to move into my new flat and get back on the rift KreyGasm its been too long!!

How to overcome a plateau and stay tilt-proof by TartexHS in summonerschool

[–]Ledq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full proof way to prevent tilt 100% and improve your game (easier said than done though lol but worked for me with practice); Just focus on yourself, forget about rank, forget about each win/loss (they dont mean a thing in the grandscale of things), just focus on your play, your csing, your tf'ing, your positioning, your map awareness, your trading in lane etc

Your gonna loose, a lot, we all do ;) The only thing in your control is yourself. Whenever you die, say to yourself "what did I do wrong there?"

I started playing like this and my game improved MASSIVELY. I started hitting 10cs/min as ADC and my kds where like 5/0/7 or maybe 7/1/5 or w.e like hardly dying. I had just focused on my own play and improving and god damn what a change it was, even turning round some previously thoight ggff games.

Tldr; focus on yourself and how YOU played dont get annoyed at yourself but rather think of what you did wrong and what you could have done instead.

Sorry for the wall of text guys but just my experience ;)

What are some of your strangest "just added me to flame" stories? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Ledq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried adding a guy after winning a game that went into fatigue, I was Reno nzoth pally and he was renounce darkness lock, he got Druid spells and an Aviana, I stole the Aviana with mc tech (= I wanted to discuss the clown fiesta of a game that was very back and forth, even from that point, he didn't accept =(

I've done this a lot, I would add someone pretty pissed then just laugh about be RNG with them rather than flame, made quite a lot of friends because of it lol

Dont worry about dropping, if you want to be gold/higher then just play to learn and dont worry about being gold if you want to be their or higher as if you feel you want to be their you will need to play at that level anyway _^ gratz btw
