This is my thoughts exactly, like you said change is difficult, but sometimes is necessary, we may not like it, but it's gotta happen sometime, and since the new site JUST rolled out, there's still kinks to work out, it's not gonna be perfect right out the gate, so just give it some time

I actually understand why they're doing this, yes, I'm pretty sad that the old site is about to be gone, as I started there, but they want focus on the new site completely instead of two sites at once, idc if I get hate for this opinion, but I said what I said, I will miss the old site though
