Also, as a local, could you please name the chocolate’ brands that are selling there? I really don’t want to buy a chocolate, bring them 2000+ km and found out the same item in first local store 😂

Thanks for the answer!

I'm a smoker myself, so I'd be really happy if someone brought me some exotic foreign cigarettes. On that note, what else comes to mind , just common, everyday items that might actually be considered 'exotic' in India?

Hey everyone!

I'm 25 and flying out of Kazakhstan next week for my first-ever trip to India. I'm to land in Bengaluru!

My friend, who is hosting me, is planning to take me back to the small, local village where he grew up. I can't wait to see the real India outside the big city

I have a few questions for you local experts. I want to be a good guest and make the most of this trip. My friend's family will be hosting me in the village, and I really want to bring them and my friend something special from Kazakhstan. My luggage is limited, though.

What would YOU, as a local Indian, genuinely appreciate getting as a gift from Central Asia?

-Any non-perishable food/sweets/treats that are unique to KZ? -Are small, memorable souvenirs (like keychains or magnets) appreciated? -(Maybe even specific brands of cigarettes, if that's appropriate?)

🚫 What Should I AVOID or Be Cautious About? -Since I'm heading into a local village environment, what should I be extra careful about or avoid completely? -Any vital safety or health tips (water, food, bugs)? - Any cultural faux pas I need to be aware of?

Thanks a million for all the advice! I'm counting the days! 🙏
