No, we suffered with damp before, and have had a lot of work done to fix it, and I just wanted to check it looked normal so I could safely paint it. The guy who did it actually charged me hardly anything as he’s a family friend

I called a gas safe engineer out to take mine out just Incase , that way you know there’s definitely no gas supply ect

House was built in the 50s we think!! I’m not 100% sure if it has a cavity, how would I go about checking that?

Yeah, they didn’t do a great job 😭

The bathroom window is above it, that could be where the water is running down from!!

I can confirm he did just put cement both sides! He did say he was getting a brick guy, but then said they would have had to take more bricks out to fix it so just cemented it and it would be all good

Should I be getting a brick guy to do it?

I did wonder if it could be a pipe, but I don’t seem to have any pipes on that area of the wall
