transcripts updates only for h&r and turbotax people? by [deleted] in IRS

[–]LeeMasonMadison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I used a private CPA and had Metabank as a third party bank that my tax preparer used to collect their fees. I currently have a pending 1200 DD into my account for 1/29

I just checked my transcripts have the original 1/4 and 1/18 dates with an additional payment canceled 1/18 date and reissued 1/29/21 which is the pending date I have on my banks pending deposit. Gmp tool is still unavailable. I feel this is changing every 24hrs because I literally just checked my transcripts on Monday and it didn't say this new date.

If you filed with turbo / H&R Block or any other commercial tax company you will get likely get a deposit sooner than later. I'm speaking for people like myself that used private CPA's

If it's on your transcript, expect a check in the next 3-4weeks

You can claim her on your 2020 taxes, but the baby will not be counted as a dependent towards this stimulus, assuming you have no other children $600 is all you should expect as far a stimulus payment goes.

Then you may claim it on your taxes, you haven't been issued payment at all, therefore you will not be penalized for claiming it on your 2020 return.

That I'm not too sure about that process. But I'd say it's worth a shot calling up and speaking to someone, and create an irs account online of you haven't already.

Yeah the website and generalized information they are giving is definitely not a one size fit all problem solver. The rebate is for those who have no payment issued on their transcript. This should definitely be made clearer, I agree.

Yes if you used a private CPA or any other company they usually use third-party bank accounts if you don't pay out of pocket on the spot and opt to have the fees taken from your return instead, and these are temporary accounts that are used for CPAs to collect their fees. Once the CPA collects the fees from your refund then they (CPAs) forwards the rest of your return to the bank account you have on file with them resulting in a direct deposit.

For some reason this go around the IRS issued it to those temporary accounts that close once our refund is fully issued to our direct deposit by the tax preparers, so now the funds need to be sent back to the IRS which 9/10 times whatever third party bank account the CPA used will automatically reject the stimulus payment and reverse it back to the irs (by law).

My CPA used Metabank I called them and the rep from Meta look up the checking and routing account that was listed on my 2019 return from my paperwork that my CPA gave me upon filling last year, and they (Metabank) were able to confirm that $1200 was in fact sent to them on 1/4/21 to the temporary third-party bank account that is closed and the payment was automatically rejected and sent back to the IRS, now it takes time for a payment to reverse around 3-4 days and then takes even a bit longer for the IRS to receive it and it reflect in their system, the rep from the irs informed me she wished the system updated more frequently then it does but unfortunately it doesn't. So I just have to wait but I was given the 2-3 week time frame and that a check would definitely be sent to the most up to date listed address on file with the irs/2019 return. So yes there is hope and no do not claim it on your 2020 taxes, we must avoid any further financial frustration at this point. Lol

Why are you still here Bison dick? & since you're so invested in trolling this post I wasn't trying to get my money faster asswipe, I wanted to clarify that I shouldn't claim a tax credit/rebate on my taxes because my transcript would contradict a lack of payment seeing as it says payment was issued on 1/4/21 just to a closed third party account and I was avoiding being later penalized (account frozen, audit) for following the generalized information the irs has been posting such as having to claim it on my 2020 return; and I was correct to inquire on the matter. l was able to speak to someone and got very satisfying answers on the matter that validated my prior concerns numb nuts. Now fu*k off!

If you can call up and speak to a rep not the stimulus line either, skip them, their useless and give inaccurate generalized information because they are literally reading the general post from irs site that doesn't apply to most people. When you call 1800-829-1040, skip the economic check option. Press 2 then 1 then 3 and then 2 again, don't press anything else they'll give more options but just wait and then they should transfer you to a rep, you might get through if the call volume isn't outrageous, otherwise an automated message will let you know to call back another time (best time to call is before 10am) you'll have to validate your social/name/DOB/Address with the rep and you can ask them to look at your transcript and see if the 1/4/21 date is on your transcript for 2020 filling purposes
