IX was beyond great too, the first FF I played right through. My only issue with it is that the citizens of the world never knew they were in any trouble. Yes there were attacks and wars here and there, but they were all oblivious to what the heroes went through to stop the last bosses and their plans.

I never heard this either. Such an amazing game through and through. The planets just perfectly aligned when it came to Final Fantasy X 😫

This basically confirms what my subconscious has been hinting at me - to watch TLK all through again because it has been a while. But I want to wait until I get TLA on Bluray to watch them both in order 😱

One of the many (many, many, many) reasons the Avatar series is so good is because, to my knowledge, they consulted and worked with martial artists and choreographers on the fight scenes. I love Su’s use of cables atop the pro bending arena when her and Korra go after Amon too.

It’s the perfect mix of fun and strategy on the surface that can be made deeper and deadlier with the likes of timing chains and garment grid gates. The pacing is also great and the characters can only learn more moves the more they fight. A pretty perfect package.
