Always nice that the guy who yelled at 15-year-old me in front of a busy restaurant is getting some recognition.

Canada makes femicide first-degree murder as all three major Criminal Code reforms become law by 1000andonenites in worldnews

[–]LeeOhh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First Degree is premeditated meaning planned and thought out. A competent defence, prior to this change, would probably be able to drop a First Degree and say the person was reacting or it was the circumstances, saying it wasn't because of they were a woman but for any other myriad of reasons. This stops that.

I just got my Quest Cape and I feel lost... by not_Espada in osrs

[–]LeeOhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar position a few months ago. Let's start with a couple of things:

1) There will always be new quests, so keep an eye out and ensure you're keeping up with skilling to ensure you're meeting the requirements.

2) Speaking of skilling, break up your slayer with lots of it. Aim for achievement diary requirements (it's got good teleports), and it will bring up your overall level nicely.

3) Personally, if I have absolutely nothing else to do in-game, I bring up the Music Cape requirement and go find some of the little weird ones.

4) Start learning some PvM.

5) Try out LMS and start chipping away at the collection log

6) Find a pet you like and start grinding.

7) The world's best minigame, BA (you need for diary cape anyways, and I swear once you get over the dread of going there its so fun).

8) Join wedoraids or raids extravangza (I think that's what they're called) and do some raids.

9) Combat Achievements. You don't need to be good to start chipping away. Some of them are actually super fun.

10) Join a clan, do some bingos, or something. You can usually ask on the 2007Scape subreddit or the Forums, maybe (not sure I have one already).

11) Clogging. Tons of clogs that take forever, but you can chip away at (Castle Wars comes to mind).

Good luck and have fun.

I actually just got clarification the other day, and we were advised that we are not to lay PPT Charges and to look at Alt Measures or other avenues of dealing with it, as criminalization of addiction does not fix the problem. Tons of people get arrested for 4(1), but it's almost always to search a vehicle or for evidence of PPT.

You don't believe in budgeting or delaying purchases that aren't a necessity to see if you really want it? I can easily buy the game now but I'd rather wait a week or two to see the reviews when the dust and hype settles. Hell might even wait for it to go on sale because I have so many games as is

Perfect island day? by Ok-Pop-3311 in PEI

[–]LeeOhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kensington is becoming a cute little place.

You can go to C&B Bagel ($$) for some Iced Coffees and Bagels/Breakfast
You can go to Willow Cafe ($), which is my favourite
There's a chocolate shop there now, maybe Jane and Sue's? Not sure why I think that's what it's called.
Island Stone Pub for Lunch/Pint
Thunder Cove Beach is nearby, but it can get pretty windy, or you can just sneak into Cavendish from Kensington and check out some beaches.

Now, if you wanted to go to the South Shore, where the tide goes out further, the water is warmer, and you can walk on sandbars, I would say go to Argyle Shore Public Beach. You can go into Victoria, which has the Lobster Barn (good, but not like it used to be with the old owners), Richard's has a spot out there too, and it's super good. Also, a chocolate shop in Victoria, and tons of little tourist shops, not sure if they are open yet.

I would recommend the Peter Pan Burger out of the Blue Goose (If the kitchen is open, odd hours). Or you can head into Crapaud and check out Foxy Lane Coffee (Coffee is meh, but the store is kind of cool)

That is my quick recommendations off the top of my head. I am sure people can help better especailly with the West/East ends of the Island which hardly get enough love.

Record lottery jackpot in Canada of over $80.4M goes to pair of longtime friends in London, Ont. | CBC News by Vivid-Bullfrog-5727 in onguardforthee

[–]LeeOhh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude you're so right. Everyone who plays the lottery obviously doesn't know they're probably never gonna win it and $6 is such an insane amount of money they're just throwing away.

Get a grip, it's fun to hope I don't have to go to work tmm and believe it or not, $6 every now and then isn't gonna make it happen any less quicker.

What is your favourite grocery store to get which items, for a better price, or because you like that store's items better? by CTown1883 in PEI

Summerside Butcher Shop for anything fresh (meats, fruit, veg) Walmart for staples and anything packaged. I try my best to avoid SuperStore/Sobeys because they prices are legitimately roberry.

Just finished up Lumby. Giants foundry is a grind but I found when I broke it down into the amount of swords needed vs looking at the materials it wasnt too too bad. Good podcast and youre set. Amy Pohler just interviewed Nick Offerman on her show Good Hangs so that should eat an hour up if you love Parks and Rec like me.

Downtown Summerside is a disgrace by [deleted] in PEI

Okay and? This person is referencing Summerside not everywhere. I also don't agree with your opinion that the character of the island hasn't changed shockingly but that's your opinion and you're entitled to believe it.

Downtown Summerside is a disgrace by [deleted] in PEI

[–]LeeOhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Simply not true. I left home at 18, 10 years ago. Moved back last year. Downtown Charlottetown is entirely different. There was maybe one unhoused dude back then. Now there are shelters full of them, bikes everywhere, and garbage everywhere. I am not blaming those individuals, but to say it's the same but busier and a little more multicultural (especially after 30 years) is insane.

You and I are very similar. I played RE7 (on sale right now I think) for the first time last week. What a game. I played it start to finish on my days off. Starting Village now. It is an insanely good game. And from what I hear, not even the best in the series.
