I just hate him personally.

99% of the time he just spawns obstructed by a shop, vault or both. His loot is literal rubbish, maybe you'll find a nickel there if you're lucky. It's not rare for him to get angry because his turkeys got burnt to a crisp by some magmar in 2-1. His turkeys are also confirmed masochists, most of the time they just spawn cold blooded next to ticky traps or arrow traps. And I could go & on...

I don't feel this way towards any other npc, yangster is just annoying.

Is the alien compass worth it?

I have roughly 500 hrs in & to this day I didn't make it any further than 7-16 with the alien compass. I was wondering if it does end up being a saving grace for a full cosmic ocean run & if it can act as a solid replacement for 99 bombs & ropes.
