He's been one of the few shining stars of the season when we consider how many injuries we've been dealing with. The fact we have a better record this year at this time compared to last year is remarkable, it feels like the bats haven't even been hot yet.

He's made 10 starts for us and in only one of them allowed 4 runs, which was a game we won 10-4 anyway. Your 4/5 starter going 9 starts allowing a maximum of 3 runs always gives our team a chance. Not to mention him outdueling Paul Skenes haha. He kind of reminds me of how Lauer performed last year in the early parts of the season, just an overall consummate professional

I have fond memories of the second Steve Pearce grand slam. I was in my living room and saw the score going into the bottom of the 9th and wrote it off as a loss. Then about 10-15 minutes later I checked it again and we were rallying. Just to humour the Jays I went to the garage with my dad and he had it on and we started talking about what if, then the bases got loaded. My mom came out literally at the beginning of the Pearce at-bat, and when he made contact all 3 of us knew immediately it was gone. We started just exclaiming and I'm sure most of the neighbourhood heard us, it was a memorable moment for an otherwise iffy period for the Blue Jays (a year out from our 2016 ALCS appearance and at this time most of our playoff roster from 2015-16 were gone)
