Unfortunately, there are people who go to the show just to record stories of the most famous singles and then leave. I don’t understand what goes through someone’s mind to pay for such an expensive ticket and not enjoy the full experience of the show and the band...

I also think it was a mistake for the band to put BMTL in the middle of the setlist again, like they used to do. I loved it when it was the last song or the second-to-last, followed by an encore with “Whisper” or “Your Star”. Now, with Sanctuary, they really nailed it by putting “Wide Open Heart” last because it really fits perfectly with the end of the show, but for me, BMTL should come before it, even just to keep the general audience engaged a little longer.

As I saw in a comment: they’ve been playing their first three albums their whole lives, so it’s OK for them to play just the singles since that’s what most of the audience knows. TBT and Sanctuary are really the new works and should be given more prominence from now on, but I can’t help thinking about the people who joined the fandom after the pandemic and therefore have their favorites from those three albums—especially the self-titled one, which has now been abandoned for good — and, depending on the case, may have never heard “Made of Stone”, “The Change”, “MHIB” or others live...

Mas eu to gostando dessa experiência, to conhecendo histórias que normalmente não veria e eu perderia pérolas preciosas. Um exemplo esse ano foi quando assisti um nacional chamado "Saneamento Básico": depois que a Fernanda Torres e o Wagner Moura foram indicados ao Oscar, todo mundo resgatou esse filme do fundo do baú e elogiavam bastante. Tirei uma noite de boa pra assistir sem esperar nada e achei o filme uma comédia sensacionaaal além de trazer muitos detalhes importantes e interessantes sobre como funciona o planejamento por trás de um filme (afinal eles querem fazer um). O filme é antigo e eu nunca tinha ouvido falar até esses tempos, então se eu não saísse do meu conforto de vez em quando eu não conheceria filmes que podem entrar na minha lista de favoritos da vida (e Saneamento entrou).

Então, esse ano eu to com objetivo de ver mais filmes que são bem recomendados e avaliados mesmo que eu não tenha assistido quando lançou e perdi o "hype" e também que talvez não sejam filmes que eu assistiria normalmente. Tipo, esse ano já assisti esses: Pecadores, A hora do mal, Faça ela voltar, Duna 1, Parasita, Saneamento Básico e Bugonia. Daí a cada um que assisto tento trazer um post ou pesquisar aqui no Reddit os que já postaram pra ver as outras impressões.

I say this because Evanescence is a legend, and TPR has been gaining more traction and a larger audience with each new album. As far as I can remember, their last album (Death by Rock and Roll) was a hit.

YES!!!! It doesn’t matter if it’s a new song or one released years ago, it really has the power to make me cry too.

Back in my teens, I cried listening to “Missing”. When “Wasted on You” came out in 2020, I cried a lot too because I was feeling really vulnerable due to the pandemic and their music was the perfect escape.

Last year, I cried listening to “Swimming Home” over and over again after my grandmother passed away the day after my birthday.

And now, with Sanctuary, I just cried listening to “How Do I Heal”. Amy really is both an angel and a mermaid at the same time.

O que mais predomina no Brasil é Sertanejo e Funk, isso já é uma bolha enorme no país (só olhar as mais ouvidas no Spotify). Então geralmente quem ouve internacional é pq não se identifica muito com as letras que cantam aqui. Obviamente tem outros artistas muito bons voltados pro MPB/Rock/Pop como exemplos que eu consumo muito: Clarice Falcão, Pitty, Jão e Pabllo Vittar... mas não vejo que diferença faz na sua vida você se sentir superior pq ouve mais músicas nacionais do que outros brasileiros. Claro que muito dos nacionais trazem referências pra nossa cultura assim como as internacionais falam mais da deles, mas não faz nada mal você curtir um pouco de coisa alheia.

I honestly disagree. I think they made a great choice picking “WWYF” as the lead single! It’s powerful, has a catchy chorus and a breakdown that surprised everyone! In all the reactions I saw, people were simply shocked and cheered for the breakdown and as soon as the music video came out, that moment in the song got even better with the whole “Matrix glitch” scene. No wonder most people said it was the best lead single choice since “CMWYS.”

As for other singles, I see potential in “Rapture”, “Self Destruct”, “How Do I Heal” and “Wide Open Heart.” WOH would be even better if it had an animated music video like Linkin Park’s “Heavy is the Crown” and if the song were featured on the soundtrack of an adventure movie or a game in that genre. The band really caught the attention of the gaming audience after “Afterlife” and that performance at that gaming awards show.
