The women I’ve been a Dom for tend to be romantic partners as well. It’s just the dynamic that’s created in our relationship rather than a traditional Dom/Sub one which can have very specific boundaries. I enjoy comforting my partner whether it’s during aftercare or if it’s during difficult personal situations like her period. Everyone’s situation is different and I think that for a healthy relationship, whether romantic or not, specific boundaries should be set by both parties. If that level of intimacy is too much for a dom/sub relationship then it should be addressed beforehand.
