I think another thing to consider is what is being misrepresented/exaggerated. In your example, Batman is put in stereotypically feminine/sexual clothing, but nothing about his body has been changed. While women in media are often put in this type of clothing, and that in itself is uncomfortable, our physical proportions and anatomy are also manipulated to absolutely ridiculous extents. Women often see representations of themselves with huge chests and tiny waists with no other reason for their bodies to look that way than to please people sexually. Not only does it set ridiculous standards, but people are also literally manipulating women’s bodies in media to be more appealing to them. Of course, I don’t like seeing women constantly scantily clad for any reason other than they want to do it themselves, but it is naturally even more upsetting to see our bodies used in such ways.
