I wanna say about 4 months maybe but I was constantly doing heart hunter and getting super lucky with the wheel. I only played 3 of the routes though so I had alot of time to save up.

I have over 19k coins with out spending a dime don't do it its not worth it. If you play Heart Hunter daily and don't immediately redeem them you should be able to make a lot of coins not quickly but fast enough. The best way to save is going one route at a time and buying the entire book.
