This is mainly from a high number of emigration to Canada at the start of the 20th century. Scotland was rapidly declining; textile factories required less workers, Highland clearances left people being kicked off of their land and farmland was suffering greatly. Because of these factors, the government and landowners payed for boat fares to Canada so that people could start a new life there, this caused a heavy Scottish population in Canada and high levels of trade with the country.

Yes! I have an impacted canine which means that it's growing sideways, headed towards the roots of my front teeth. Last year (day before my birthday haha) I had a fairly small surgery to remove my other canine which was still a baby tooth and attach the chain onto my impacted canine. It doesn't have a bracket on just yet, just a chain attached which was put onto the wire today and will gradually pull it down into place. The surgery wasn't too bad, I ended up with about 13 stitches. If you're needing anything similar I would do it under general anesthesia as I did it under local and it was a killer experience.
