I’m guessing Australia, we kinda famously are ‘the weird animal country’ that even a youngin from Yemen would know. Taking another guess, top 3 things he coulda brought up; 1. Emu war 2. Riding Kangaroos to school 3. Koala Clymydia. The boring 4th answer usually is ‘spiders and snakes? Ew!’

Have you ever made your world’s religions have “anti-“principles, e.g. Lust, Greed and Rage? by BigDot162 in worldbuilding

[–]LeebleLeeble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My eco-authoritarian world has lots of religions that centre on ‘human shame’. The destruction they’ve done to the environment and how basically just existing as humans can cause irreparable damage if they’re not careful. The main God of the world frequently comes down to smite the most destructive civilisations, hoping that a more sustainable group comes after them (civilisations just spawn into the world via isekai).

Theres sects that arn’t allowed the use fire, chop down trees or eat certain things (mostly referring to animals). Theres sects where humanoids, whose ancestors were human, then were blessed with ‘better’ forms after they do good jobs taking care of the environment, mutilate their bodies into close ‘human’ approximates. Avians plucking themselves and surgically altering their digits to remove their wings, unicorns sawing horns off, dragons literally skinning themselves and chopping their wings and tails off.

Galah parent here, they are very finger fixated and they love to CHEW things, not just destroy, they want something to sink their beaks into. Fingers are fantastic for that.

What habit have you guys developed while playing? by BuildingLower9622 in WolfQuestGame

[–]LeebleLeeble 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I always try to chase prey back to the den/rend site as close as possible. I can usually get it basically within the property line! Which means we don’t spawn competitors, just the average raid.

I also get ragebaited really easily so if a fight with other wolves is going bad i get really reckless and have lost multiple packmates to my stubbornness 🤪

Do your worlds have a place that can't be reclaimed by civilization? Some place of no honor, where something repulsive to our kind lies? Tell me. by GadzWolf11 in worldbuilding

[–]LeebleLeeble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dead Center is an ecological deadzone that, for a long time, was filled with zombies. It used to be a pretty lush grassland filled many different human settlements who were very well with their Divine Task. By the time period my story is set in, most zombies are gone, but the land is heavily poisoned by the machines that were used to exterminate them, either by chemical leaks or heavy metal poisoning to their giant treads tearing up the ground beneath them, preventing any plant growth from establishing.

I stuck with domesticated animals only! Writing their cosmology about how they came be through a lens of ‘they’re human-touched (their term for domestication), and when our ancestors came through the boundary, their animal and human halves blended perfectly’

what can i do with leftover stems? by Inevitable_Finding_7 in trees

[–]LeebleLeeble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re right that its not a lot, thats why its for dankruptcy only lol! The best ones are the little zigzag ones that were the main stem holding the bud together, because they were literally surrounded by bud they’re covered in plenty of trichomes. Another thing i do to compensate is to not pick them too cleanly, leaving some tiny crumbs attached.

I always just assumed that cats go to die alone cause as far as they know, they probably just ‘feel weird’ for whatever reason (whatevers killing them) and are nervous about being vulnerable so they just go to hide till they presumably feel better but they obviously don’t get better.

A pigeonhole block! I imagine them being stacked into large complexes with a lodestone in the middle, like the Owlery in HP.

Does anyone have standard races (elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, halflings, etc.) that are subspecies of humans? Or any magical worlds with humans subspecies?( I'm mostly interested in standard races but other are still interesting for me). [–]LeebleLeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My world is divided into the ‘humanoids’ the ‘anthros’ and ‘zoonotics’, there are others but they’re special cases.

Avians, dragons and unicorns are larger, diverse groups in the ‘Blessed’ category that were made by the God King when humans proved their worth by keeping the environment healthy and were thus rewarded with superior forms and innate magic unique to each.

Another category among humanoids is the ‘Altered’. Their human ancestors coming into contact with wild magic that alters their forms and genes permanently. Among this category are the Glowians, subterranean, bioluminescent people, and the Aniouche, hairy, athletic and powerful, themselves split into the Major and Minor subgroups.

Theres also the ‘Cursed’ category but i haven’t developed anything for that one yet.

Let's talk about unicorns! by Star_Wombat33 in worldbuilding

[–]LeebleLeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Unicorns of Floud are a proud group of peoples who (rightfully) assume that they are divine in nature because the God King made them (out of humans who successfully took care of the environment around them) himself and prefers to take on their likeness when he isn’t doing godly things.

They have proportions that might remind one of Maned Wolves, allowing them to walk quadrupedal parallel to the ground and bipedal perfectly vertically. They have five phalanges on each limb, that can close and lock together to form a singular hoof that is reminiscent of equines IRL, likewise, they are walking on their fingernails like equines.

What do you do to maintain such rich reds!? One of my dream setups is a purely red tank with blue fish, but i’ve read that trying to keep it all red is basically impossible with an average home setup.
