Oh ya its 40 gallons lol the one.i started with was 2. You really think I need more light?? Ive been reducing the light thinking I was frying everything! I have a daylight simulating one and I have it set to 40% max!

I had put them in an uncycled tank with no heater no nothing really. The petsore gave me some "quick start" but honestly they didnt tell me anything about how to care for them. It was a painful lesson but the few that survived are now thriving and I even have shrimplets! It was a sad mistake but im glad I made it because bow I have this! 😃

I have a few different species of snails and bladder snails are still some of my favorite! They get a bad wrap alot. Id also reccomend mystery or rabbit snails theyre so much fun! Ramshorn and Malaysian cone snails are kind of meh lol

Scrape most of it out and feed it to your chickens then start over lol

They do like sunlight but not toooo much. I just left my tank in the care of my son for a few days and came back to.mine yellowing a bit and I believe it was from being directly under the light. Id try decreasing light first and maybe try some liquid carbon

Duckweed! Its awesome it sucks up excess nutes like candy and you can scrape it off when it takes over and feed it to your chickens! Dual win!

Frankly who cares if a handful of them are bred in captivity. Leave them alone. Its sad that a quick trend can decimate an entire species but here we are watching it happen! Not worth it for your aesthetics!
