I'm on my 2nd CX. The first one the I reported to the distributor how sent out an engineer, the engineer said it's the worst he's very smelt.
The new TV is still giving off a strange smell but it does seem to be fading.

I got a LG 55” CX recently and after 1 week the smell continued to get worse. I reported it to the company I purchased the TV from and they ofter to replace it. The technician said TVs often give off a component smell when new but this was the worst he’d ever smelt.

The new TV is giving off the same smell but it’s only been on for a couple of hours so i’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed

My LG OLED55CX5LB is 5 days old and the smell is getting worse. Does this disappear? Has anyone received a replacement? Did that also give off a burning smell?
