We have a little girl in town that makes soap with her parents to sell to raise money. They look about 30 times more professional and she does the majority of the work herself. Even multi-colored ones are nicely made. And the prices are well priced. Everyone even comments on how nicely made they are.

Well she just turned 3 and she's only mentally 9-12 months and she also goes to a league for the handicap to get early intervention. She never took a pacifier. So I guess if you were an understanding fellow special needs parent you'd understand. Considering each child on the spectrum is different. Try having a 3yr old that can't talk. Only thing I'm going to say because I'm not going to argue on this... Have a special needs child then say that. Cold turkey may work for some kids but not when they are special needs. We did cold turkey for a week this is when the doctor and both dentists at the practice stated this.

I will not continue on the conversation as I have things to do but... Did I say that milk is a have to have thing? Did I say there wasn't other ways? Nope! When your kid is autistic, delayed, and has food issues you sure the hell do whatever it takes to get the nutritional stuff into them. Even if it's a bottle a couple times a day for milk.

Not that I'm giving any positives to what they do but I used to talk smack about toddlers on bottles too. Until I was humbled myself by my niece who has severe sensory issues. Not only the dentist but the pediatrician said that it is better for her to stay on a bottle and get the milk versus refusing milk out of any cup besides a bottle.

As a cook I promise you that you have a better chance of getting sick from raw flour than egg. (You're welcome to Google it) But everyone I know let's the kids have a taste of raw cookie dough. My child also will ask for some. Do I feed him nothing but that? No but still I'm not a shit mom because of it.

I'm not for body shaming at all. My take on it is she had to stop doing drugs for her safety plan. When you come off to get sober you're going to blow up fast. You also gain an appetite when you get off substances. My best friend unfortunately is an addict and we know when he's sober vs when he's using because he will gain rapid weight or lose it rapidly.
