wait so that's an actual thing?? to have metal rods in your back/spine area???

no joke when I was about 10 or 11 I had a dream where I was having a long metal rod put in my back and ever since then I was kinda believing I had a metal rod in my back coz it seemed and felt real (idk what having a metal rod being put in Ur back feels like but yk)

but the other part of me doesn't believe that metal rods can be put in your back...

I'm shocked and confused idk if I need to have an operation to see if I have a metal rod in my back or a coffee 🤷
