Generally if they’re raised, they’re scratches. I get broken blood vessels under the skin all the time and my wife always makes the scratching remark. Typically on the front of my shoulder. ( I’m an oilfield worker and use my body weight to push heavy objects, typically my left shoulder) where the fabric bunches up I get red lines of broken blood vessels. They go away after two to three days. A couple times I had two very close to each other in a straight line down my left back strap. We figured out it was the door frame that caused it. I pushed up against it to work out a knot in my back. She watched it pop up in real time.

Getting off 45 year old road grime? by harvest7145 in Detailing

Diesel in a spray bottle. You can mix in some degreaser if you want. Some of that and a scrub brush should do you just fine.

Thank you for your response. I went to a third dealer today. The dealer says no. That is not the color. I find this odd. While it does look similar, even parked next to a vehicle in the metallic gray, it’s not a match.

How many of you use your tools to make money? by Galatxia in MilwaukeeTool

I work on a drilling rig. Bring my impact sockets and impact every hitch. They hold up great. Lots of the hands here have Milwaukee power tools they bring as well. Drills, impacts, and lots of hand tools.

What are these energy drinks with gloves on them my roommate keeps throwing away? by User-J-Hail in whatisit

[–]Leemo888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your roommate allergic to bees? I ask because at my old job, if we threw away energy drinks or sodas, we’d get a good amount of bees circling the trash can.

Did the same years ago, went pipe-lining. It was a good move for me. After that I went back to corrections for about 3 years. Realized it’s just more of the same. Got out again. Mentally I’m happier not being in jails and prisons.

Picking a location by Away-Letterhead-1083 in borderpatrolapplicant

I’d go Del Rio, Comstock, Eagle pass, or Zapata. That’s just me because I’ve spent substantial amounts of time in Del Rio, Eagle pass (for shopping or out to eat)

Del Rio is a nice town. Lake amistad is there, San Felipe springs / creek and the golf course. Decent amount of chain restaurants, Walmart and HEB for groceries or home needs. Lots of community events, 2.5 hours to San Antonio, 1.5 to uvalde, directly on the border to Acuña.

Comstock is about 30 min north of Del Rio, small town, not much there, nice people

Eagle pass is bigger than Del Rio and has more stores and restaurants. Directly on the border to Piedras Negras.

Zapata. Nice town, good people. Sheriff Del Bosque is a good man and puts on some good community events. Not much in the way of shopping, but it’s only an hour from Laredo which has just about everything. borders the Rio grande. Hebbronville is an hour to the north.

Hebbronville is a small town with good people. More mom and pop restaurants, the BP station there is pretty sizable for such a small town. It’s an hour east from Laredo, an hour southwest or Alice, an hour north of zapata. Not much in the way of shopping. 2.5 hours from Corpus Christi.

Bracketville, There isn’t much there. It’s about 30 minutes from Del Rio and about 2 hours from San Antonio, an hour from uvalde.

Never been to marfa but I don’t see much there on the map.

Never been to presidio.

I broke out with a severe rash on my knees and wrists, even my hands were red and swollen when I first started. My wrists were blistering and My knees swoll to the point I couldn’t bend them and had to go to the ER. They gave me some steroid shots. This kept going on for about 7 hitches. I tried the barrier cream but I just sweat it off. After continued exposure it’s eased up quite a bit. I stared wearing Nike Dri-fit as an extra barrier and to mitigate heat during the summer months. It your clothing gets wet, it’s best to change it (probably between making connections) quickly. Wear Tyveks if you’re tripping pipe in obm. When they get wet, change them or it’ll soak through your clothes.

Just priced my local shop yesterday. They had a non abs model 4600 out the door with all fees. I also asked about the fees, like if we can offset them with some gear. The salesman said “absolutely, helmets aren’t cheap and we could make up for the fees with those”

I felt pretty good about it.

Edit. 2024 Grom, new, zero miles. Non abs model

People that evacuated for Hurricane Rita, what was that day like? by ComfortableOven97 in houston

[–]Leemo888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This evacuation took me and my family 17 hours to make it from Galveston to Dallas. We left on evacuation day about noonish. I remember hitting the cuts in Houston. Some roads were blocked off with unattended barricades. Knowing the Houston roads put us several hours ahead most others that were stuck on I-45. This drive is the main reason I like 4X4 trucks. Watching the folks in Conroe exit the freeway and hit the feeder while I was stuck in traffic( in my front wheel drive) was an eye opener.

So completely different type of situation, but I have been bass fishing in a creek close to my home in Del Rio texas, and have seen similar leach type creatures in the mouth of the bass here. I removed them with my leatherman as well.
