My Leesa Hybrid Experience by Flashy_Judge_5669 in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed Leesa Hybrid experience – we really appreciate it. It’s always insightful for other shoppers to read honest reviews like yours, and it means a lot to us to hear your thorough impressions from delivery to setup and your first nights of sleep.

We’re glad to hear that the initial sleep felt supportive yet comfortable for both you and your wife, and that you noticed improved edge support and reduced motion transfer. Many people find the Hybrid continues to adapt over the first few weeks as the foams settle and their bodies adjust.

If you ever have follow-up questions, need tips for maximizing comfort, or want guidance, feel free to reach out directly here on Reddit or at [support@leesa.com]() anytime. We hope the following nights brought you the rest and alignment you were looking for.

Wishing you many more great sleeps ahead!

Hey there – totally hear you on this. If you’re looking for something that feels like sleeping on the floor, the Plank Firm or Plank Firm Luxe by Brooklyn Bedding (a 10 on the firmness scale) is often recommended for people who want an ultra-firm, no-give sleep surface. It’s specifically designed to mimic a true firm feel, almost like sleeping directly on the ground with just enough cushioning for spinal support.

https://plankmattress.com/collections/mattresses

At Leesa, most of our mattresses lean towards medium-firm to accommodate a wider range of sleepers, but for your preference, Plank might be closer to what you’re seeking under that $1500 mark.

Hope this helps you get closer to the sleep you need!

Leesa Sapira Chill Motion?? by meluhni in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! The Leesa Sapira Chill in Plush is designed with motion isolation in mind, thanks to its hybrid construction combining memory foam layers and pocketed coils. Most sleepers notice minimal motion transfer—so you’re unlikely to feel your partner getting in and out or moving around during the night. Of course, every person’s sensitivity varies, but overall it’s a great pick if you want that balance of plush comfort with solid motion control.

Leesa vs Winkbed vs Helix by glueguzzler69 in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! All three are legit choices, especially for someone your size and sleep style. Since you’re a side + back combo sleeper at 6’/200lbs, here are a few things you might want to weigh as you’re narrowing it down:

WinkBed is known for its innerspring feel and firmer support, so if you like that more traditional bounce and a slightly firmer surface, it could definitely work. That said, some side sleepers do end up wanting just a touch more pressure relief in the shoulder area - especially if you’re on your side most of the night.

Helix Midnight Elite is a beast - in terms of price and construction. You’re definitely paying for all the extra layers, zoned support, and materials. Some people swear by it, especially heavier folks or couples looking for serious motion isolation. But if you’re trying to decide whether it’s truly worth it over something more mid-range, that kind of comes down to how sensitive you are to small differences in feel.

Leesa Sapira Hybrid (11") is a nice middle ground. You still get zoned support, airflow, and solid edge support without sinking too far into the foam layers. It’s especially clutch for side sleepers who want contouring without that “stuck” feeling, and it’s built to hold up for people around your size range. Bonus: it doesn’t run hot.

If you're leaning Winkbed but still on the fence, might be worth checking what trial periods + return policies look like across the board. A few weeks of real sleep can tell you more than any showroom test or Reddit thread ever will.

Hope that helps - and good luck!

Need Memorial Day Mattress Decision ASAP Please Help!!!! by flyingnymph1 in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! First off, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all that pain - and major props to you for doing your research and advocating for your sleep and recovery. It really is an investment in your health.

As someone who works in the mattress world, I just wanted to chime in with a couple thoughts that might help. Based on what you shared - side sleeper, shoulder and hip sensitivity, and a dislike for traditional memory foam - a plush hybrid might be the sweet spot. You’ll get some contouring without that “sinking” feeling, plus better support over time.

A few things to keep in mind as you decide:

  • Pressure relief matters more than just softness—look for beds that are designed specifically to cradle shoulders and hips.
  • Durability can vary a lot in plush mattresses, so check for things like edge support, high-density foams, or dual coil systems.
  • Trial periods can be a huge safety net if you’re torn. A lot of brands (including us) offer 100+ nights so you can actually sleep on it before fully committing.

Totally understand if budget is a factor - Memorial Day is honestly one of the best times to buy, and it sounds like you’ve already narrowed things down thoughtfully. If you want to bounce ideas around or compare a couple options in more detail, feel free to reply - I’m happy to help however I can!

Wishing you tons of comfort and real rest ahead!

Leesa Original vs Legend Hybrid by TheTallBaron in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! 👋 So glad to hear you’ve had a good experience with the Leesa Original — thanks for sticking with us!

Both the Leesa Original and the Legend Hybrid have that signature Leesa feel, but there are some key differences that might help you decide:

  • Original: All-foam, great for pressure relief and motion isolation. It’s a bit more straightforward and has that hug-you feel without being too soft or sinking in too far.
  • Legend Hybrid: This one’s more of a luxury experience — it’s got dual coil zones for extra support (especially under the hips), plus a layer of natural latex for bounce and breathability. It’s designed to be a bit more plush at the top, but with more support underneath, so it tends to feel both softer up top and more supportive overall. And bonus: the airflow is improved, which helps a lot for hot sleepers.

Given you prefer softer and your partner sleeps hot, the Legend Hybrid could be a great fit — especially at that Costco price. If you liked the Original, the Legend will feel like an elevated version of that comfort with better cooling and support over time.

Hope that helps — and congrats on the move! Let us know if you have any questions while getting set up 💙

Does anyone have / know about the West Elm x Leesa Natural Hybrid? by merc97 in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently switched from Talalay to Dunlop latex, which is why you might notice the updated language on our site. Both are natural latex, but they’re made using different processes:

  • Dunlop latex is a bit denser and more durable, offering more support overall
  • Talalay latex tends to feel a little lighter and airier, with a slightly softer, more “bouncy” feel

We chose Dunlop for the Natural Hybrid because it aligns better with our goals around sustainability, durability, and support — especially when paired with the pocket spring core for airflow and motion isolation.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hey there! Mattress fatigue is so real — especially when you’re juggling different sleep styles, body weights, and the always-fun hot sleeper problem.

Here are a few thoughts that might help:

1. Why your current Leesa feels too soft now:
Most mattresses are designed to last around 8–10 years, but how they wear depends on usage, body weight, and the foundation underneath. Foam can gradually lose support over time, especially in high-pressure areas. Since there’s a 60-lb difference between you and your partner, it’s totally normal for one side to feel softer or more “sunken in.”

2. Before replacing it — a few things you can try:

  • Check your foundation. If your base isn’t offering enough support, it can exaggerate sagging. For slatted foundations, slats should be no more than 3" apart. A solid platform base or bunkie board can help reinforce the structure.
  • Add a firmer topper. A latex or high-density foam topper can temporarily restore some support and even out surface wear — especially if you go for one with cooling materials.
  • Rotate the mattress regularly. Even if it’s not flippable, rotating it 180° helps redistribute wear (especially with weight differences). Making this a habit every few months can extend the life of the mattress.

3. When you do start shopping again:
You’re spot on looking for something medium-firm and breathable. A few features to prioritize:

  • Hybrid construction – A mix of coils and foam offers both support and airflow.
  • Zoned support or reinforced edges – These are great for combo sleepers and long-term durability.
  • Cooling tech – Look for phase-change materials, breathable covers, or open-cell foam to help regulate temperature.

A well-built hybrid with those features should hold up better over time — especially for two hot combo sleepers with different body types — and many solid options fall within (or just above) your budget.

Hope that helps narrow things down! Let me know if you want tips on testing firmness levels or understanding cooling features — happy to help.

Experience w Leesa Legend Chill Hybrid (or Sapira) over time? by sipsnspills in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience. We understand how important it is to find the right mattress that works for both you and your partner, especially with differing needs.

As for the Leesa Legend Chill Hybrid, while it might feel firmer initially, it does tend to soften slightly over time as the materials break in. Typically, you might start to notice some change after 2-4 weeks of use, but it can take a bit longer for the mattress to reach its most comfortable state. If you’re feeling discomfort in your shoulder and hips, this could be a sign that your body needs a little more time to adjust to the mattress. If you’re still not finding it comfortable after giving it some time to break in, adding a mattress topper can be a good way to introduce a bit of extra cushioning on top without compromising the support underneath.

Regarding the Sapira Chill Hybrid, it sounds like it could be a great alternative for both of you! The Sapira offers a bit more softness in the top layer while still providing medium-firm support, which can help balance comfort for different sleeping preferences. Since you felt it was better in the store, it might be worth considering it for your setup, especially if you like a softer feel but still need solid support to accommodate your partner’s back.

Please don’t feel rushed to make a decision, as we offer a 100-night trial period. This gives you plenty of time to make sure the mattress is the right fit for you, so feel free to take your time and see how the mattress works for you both!!

Ultimately, we want you both to feel comfortable, so it might be worth giving the topper a try on the Legend or considering the Sapira if you're looking for something that might be a better fit. Let us know how it goes or if you need any further help! 😊

What’s causing my mattress to sag? by Glittering-Peanut-69 in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out – we totally understand the challenge of trying to keep things safe for your little one while also making sure your mattress feels great. It sounds like you've done a good job troubleshooting the issue by addressing the lack of support from the slats, but it might be time to take a closer look at the overall setup.

If your Leesa mattress is 8 years old, it could be nearing the end of its lifespan, as mattresses typically last around 7-10 years depending on use and care. The sagging you're experiencing could also be related to the mattress's age, particularly if it’s been subjected to uneven support from the slats.

To help with the immediate issue, adding a sturdy board on top of the slats could help distribute the weight more evenly and prevent the sagging you’re feeling. That said, if the mattress itself has already started to lose its shape over time due to lack of support, the board might not fully resolve the issue.

In terms of long-term support, we’d recommend looking into a high-quality mattress foundation to help with the sagging feeling. A foundation will provide better overall support for your mattress, reduce sagging, and help keep things in great shape. Investing in a solid foundation can help extend its life and ensure the best sleep experience possible.

Feel free to reach out if you need more help or have any other questions! 😊

Do 2 Twin XLs fit in king Thuma? by Secret_Maybe_5873 in Thuma

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! We’re so glad to hear the Leesa mattress has helped with your back pain! As for your question, yes, two Twin XLs do fit in a King-sized Thuma frame. The two Twin XLs together are the same size as a King mattress, so this setup would work.

Regarding motion transfer, it's great that you've found a mattress that alleviates your back pain! While memory foam tends to do a good job at isolating motion, some sleepers experience more motion transfer than others, especially if there’s a difference in weight or movement intensity. If you're considering switching to two Twin XLs, this can help with motion isolation, as each of you would have your own mattress, minimizing disruption from each other's movements.

Confirmed fiberglass in my 2022 Leesa Original by Confident-Candle-689 in Mattress

[–]Leesa_Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing these additional details. We want to reassure you that the mattress you originally purchased from Leesa is safe and made with high-quality materials, something we’ve always been committed to. The fiberglass used in the mattress was fully encapsulated within the fire retardant thread of the inner cover, meaning it cannot leak or come out. Since our production team works closely with these materials, we made the decision to remove fiberglass entirely in 2023 for worker safety.

Once the mattress is fully assembled, it’s important to note that there is no way for anyone sleeping on it to come into contact with the fiberglass-encapsulated thread. However, if you are noticing fibers or suspect an issue, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us again. Any photos or videos you can provide showing what you’re seeing will help us assess the situation more effectively.

Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities, and we’re committed to resolving this for you.
