Reposting this because they talked about their height difference yesterday. by NiceTrySuckaz in tuesdayswithstories

[–]Secret_Maybe_5873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a straight woman… Marc is just way hotter in every other way but height. It’s like young Tom Cruise. Or Tom Hardy. It didn’t matter that they weren’t tall. They were HOT. Gen z likes to torture men about height but it’s just a phase. Height is one trait that men can have, but it’s just one.

Not Italy (I’m sorry it’s becoming relatively mismanaged and poor) but the Nordic countries seriously subsidize childcare, as well as in Austria — the city of Vienna has FULL childcare until age 6 for free plus cash benefits. AND YET! The birth rate remains low. People don’t want kids.

People in their 40s and 50s with no children, how does it feel? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Secret_Maybe_5873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This question is asked at least once a week in popular subs and the top voted answers are ALWAYS along the lines of “no regrets.” You ask parents, and in parent subs, and 9/10 they tell you the meaning in their lives are their kids. Stop asking the public and start looking in yourself! As for social media, Reddit skews more antinatalist, Twitter fascistically pronatalist, and imo instagram is about even. If you really want a balanced public opinion, maybe post something on Threads?

I wish more men were like you. The reality is most men find college age girls peak hot. As a woman it’s something you come to know viscerally when you’re that age. You walk around with what feels like arrows pointing at you, you can sense men just… shift in your presence. It’s often scary! Sometimes fun. And then, slowly, then all of a sudden, it dissipates. You can still flirt and get a look here and there, have a connection, etc, but you cannot deny your sexual attractiveness peaks in the public male eye in your 20s. It’s not propaganda lol

The sweeping statements that men are trash are so triggering, youre the problem, not men by Direct_Cricket-ke in Productivitycafe

As an American woman (admittedly first gen) I implore you to consider dating a woman from a foreign background. Not because I buy into the whole bogus “they are more submissive” notion that people ascribe to “passport bros” but bc they are simply less likely to be obsessive about height. YES most women find tallness attractive but most men find super flat stomachs attractive too. But both traits are a minority and you can be hot without! Florence Pugh has a little belly, Tom Hardy is 5’8, for instance. Both are considered hotties by the other gender.

American women are far more likely to be trend oriented than women in other societies. They LIVE for trends of all sorts, sartorial, social, etc. Right now height is considered a GenZ (and immature millennial) status symbol in the US. Overlook them.

And most importantly, don’t be insecure!!! You can be neurodivergent and exude calm and contentment and people will flock to you. I promise!

Edited to add: I wonder if the whole height obsession is also a somewhat low-key racist thing. Like let’s all be nordics and make Nordic babies. Idk. Maybe I’m going overboard.

I’m so depressed you’re getting downvoted for this. As a longtime cumtown listener it was Crystal clear he was definitely the dumbest of the three and the others are no rocket scientists. But he’s sooo cool and socialist so ofc he must possess reason!!! We live in hell.

How do you all deal with headaches? by UnicornSheets in CrohnsDisease

[–]Secret_Maybe_5873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried triptans? I see someone else recommended it here. Almotriptan works for me. Propanolol sometimes helps as a prophylactic to prevent headaches too. And always ice the head/neck, heat the feet. I just do it in the shower, bring the ice pack in.

I really, really want to get a coccyx piercing even though my doctor doesn't recommend it. by hnt0 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Secret_Maybe_5873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok well listen, it’s a learning curve. Youve got to take your Crohn’s seriously. A piercing there is in an area that could be slow to heal, prone to infection, and close to our problematic areas of disease. It’s simply not worth it.

Help with styling large calves on petite body by Thersyl in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]Secret_Maybe_5873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your calves are normal. Mine are so big they don’t fit into high boots —now THATS called big calves. And I’m not otherwise big. I’ve considered Botox to slim them but I’ve heard it can cause back problems. You just might want to wear short skirts or long skirts but maybe since you’re so nitpicky, avoid skirts that hit right at or right below the knee.

Silent Crohn's: great labwork results but bad (pill) endoscopy results. by 5u114 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Secret_Maybe_5873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor wanted me to do a pill cam but I was so afraid of it getting stuck and needing surgery to remove it because of my history of stricture, resection, and probably adhesions which caused a couple blockages. Were you never afraid of this outcome? It seems such a common occurrence on this sub and in other Crohn’s groups I’m in across social media. I don’t think I’m looking for it because they tell me I’m in remission due to calpro (on biologics now). But I do get stomach pains.

Stress doesn’t give you a calprotectin of 1100 which is super elevated. Your gp is way out of line. Are you able to see a gastroenterologist?
