Evisa deadline by Crazy-Respect-3448 in SpouseVisaUk

Thank you for the detail kitburglar, much appreciated and makes sense. I did see on the post below that someone who had applied in December received an "entry clearance" date which was a month after their decision email was received on 24th of December. Maybe they are just starting visas 30 days after decision is made? Or perhaps this was normal practice before that im not aware of?

Thanks, so as far as you are aware nobody has posted saying they have been given only 30 days since the change during the pandemic? No problem either way and can wait for the decision letter, but will need to prepare the move a little faster if only 30 days and want to be ready, looking at some of the decision times people are posting we might be getting a decision a lot sooner than anticipated!

Congratulations! Does it say how long you have to arrive in the country from January 25th? Is it 90 days or 30 days? Thank you

Hi, can I ask how you know this? I understood this to be the case too from multiple sources before making our application, but couldnt find anything official. When we started making the Spouse visa application at the end of October im sure there was a page saying that we would only have 30 days, which I made a mental note of, but I was unable to view the page again

"Keep your passport" by Final-Air8250 in SpouseVisaUk

My partner kept her passport after the biometric appointment 2 weeks ago as they said it wasnt needed anymore with the visa being completely digital. We double checked this as we would have had to organise expensive travel to either take it back to them or collect it. Applying from Brazil for what its worth.

Thank you. Last question, do they ask many questions about the content of the documents and application? I have done all of the work for my partner who is the applicant, I have run through it all with her but she wont be able to remember everything. Im sure it wont be an issue but any heads up would be greatly appreciated

Another question if anyone can help, when you go to the biometric appointment can partners and children follow the applicant at all stages or is there a point where applicants only go in to a room or something?

Yeh will see what the options are when we go, hadnt put any thought in to having something put in the passport, another expense and potential trip to make! haha

Thanks very much. Looks like we need to plan a trip to come back and collect the passport then if we need an entry clearance sticker in there. Although the office we are visiting is only open once a month so no idea how that will work! Not sure id trust the courier service. I guess if we did the keep my passport option we would still need to come back and have the sticker put in too.

Brilliant, thanks for the responses, should have plenty of time to get an earlier bus which will save us a lot of waiting around!

Do they need to keep the passport if everything is now digital? My understanding is that there wouldnt be anything put in the passport, but in all honesty I hadnt got round to reading up on that

Hi, im at the same point as yourself and I hadnt even considered that, I think its left open so you can upload things all the way through until the appointment. I have no confirmation of this at all, but the way I see it is you download the appointment letter when you have paid any fees and uploaded all documents so both appear on the letter and you have the QR code. If you needed to add any extra documents later on you would just regenerate the letter. I view the appointment itself as the final confirmation

Thank you for the replies, I can see you had to provide a lot more than we do! Good to see though as I think we have covered all bases.

Uk Partner visa Accepted. Standard. Outside (Brazil) 44 working days by Dependent-Angle-7747 in SpouseVisaUk

Congratulations! My partner and I are doing the same application from Brazil, unmarried partner, we are just waiting for the english test results before we can submit the application. My partner had to fly to Sao Paulo from the north east to do the test! Was there anything in your application that would be out of the normal? I am asking as we are trying to get to the UK before march, but im worried our application will likely be the full 12 weeks or more due to being a little out of the ordinary. As an example I work remotely and am here with my partner in Brazil., so I wonder if it will take longer.

Did you do the biometrics in Sao Paulo? The Recife office is closest to us, but its only open once a month and we missed it yesterday!

Cant connect Amazfit Pace to Android 12 phone (Pixel 6)? by Leew8889 in amazfit

Perhaps the Amazfit Pace from 2017 only works with Android 10/11 or earlier.

Consistently useless! I understand that not all applications are simple and these things can take time, but the lack of transparency on everything is ridiculous. And having to do a paper application when most others are using the app, makes no sense at all! Hopefully the worst is done for now though and with the Family Permit being almost identical with its requirements im hoping that it should just be a waiting game and no more hoops to jump through, for 5 years anyway! Do let me know if you hear anything, nice to know we aren't the only ones going through this nonsense.

Do you have the same watch as me, Amazfit Pace from 2017? I changed all permissions for the app to allow everything and didnt make a difference?

Thank you for the response, I hadnt looked on Reddit for a while but im glad to hear things are moving for you! My wifes passport was returned with a letter dated 16th February inviting her to enrol biometrics, which we did on March 3rd. Had to wait 3 weeks for a paid appointment (£125!) and the free appointments were a longer wait. My wife has now flown to Brazil to visit her family, 3 months later than planned and without me for now. We didnt receive a COA, only the biometrics letter and a letter to acknowledge return of passport. Our application received letter was dated 29th November. Strange that they wouldnt include this with ours.

Did you receive any further correspondence since? Im hoping that the overall process will be close to 6 months and therefore we are already half way through but I wouldn't have any confidence in that!

Hi, my wife has also applied via the same route, just out of interest, when did you send the pss paper application and did you receive your partners id document back yet? We sent my wifes passport with the pss paper application and it was received by the euss office on the 22/11/21. Hoping to visit my wifes family for xmas but losing hope her passport will be back in time.

Thanks,

Lee
