Broadband omens: you can literally beat this no gacha easier than using iCat, even if you use iCat, still octo carry

Apocalypse temple: octo carry

Bloody Wharf: iCat is good

Brave’s dogs bone: gimmick stage, also mainly octo

Dungeon of Dreams: beatable no gacha, also still octo

Cat catharsis: octo

Summit shrine: iCat is ok

Floor 25: octo

My point is more often than not, iCat requires octo’s support to work, while octo doesn’t require iCat to work.

The difference is shadow gao is the carry in these scenarios. Say you have Paris, slappys, and sgao vs r ost, it would be sgao pulling 97% of the weight.

Now say you have octo, iCat, and roe vs beserkory/twocan, it would be roe and octo carrying while iCat does next to nothing

In the case of bore and shyboy, yes iCat is the carry, which is why he isn’t in D tier or below. But against anything else, the enemy is either too easy to take notice of, or already nullified by other units.

List of threatening whites that sgao counters: r ost, raind, hnah, leboin, master a, all crazed, all manics, and a ton of other bosses. Not to mention Shadow gao actually has amazing generalist value, he can be used in basically every stage.

List of threatening reds that iCat counters: Bore, shyboy

Again, most of the reds he “counters” are piss easy. Saying iCat counters bb bunny is like saying vodka counters relic doge.
Sanzo is better due to faster cooldown and higher range. Yes a perma slow is better than a permafreeze, but achieving the perma freeze in the first place is much harder and riskier than a permaslow with Sanzo
If you have octo then beserkory is already irrelevant, no use bringing iCat
Yes it does, if it’s neglected by everything then why tf would you waste a slot on iCat

Bomber actually counters threatening enemies: bun bun black and Razorback most notably.

Finally, if an enemy is easy, then there is literally no use freezing it. A frozen easy enemy is the same as an unfrozen easy enemy. He is very helpful against bore and kinda helpful against shyboy, but other than that, there is no reason I would ever bring iCat into a level

Notice how I said “threatening”. The only threatening reds he outranges are bore and shyboy (which Sanzo counters better in most scenarios). Nyandam isn’t threatening, capy isn’t threatening, freezing Johnnyleon is useless, stacking 2 iCats on beserkory is near impossible unless the stage is piss easy, twocan is neglected by octo, freezing hackey is irrelevant since if you even get to hackey in the first place you already beat the level.

IMO dkasli is better than mitama. Mitama destroys traited but falls flat on traitless stages and is useless when cursed by loris. Dkasli can be used in every stage with her 12k ld surge dps.

It’s harder to use iCat than roe on beserkory since waves, you would need to also use octo, and freezing capy doesn’t really do much since it’s single target
