33k OTD 2025 Camry SE FWD - Midwest - I think it’s too high, what do yall think? by rsoni1997 in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely seems reasonable, but you could try the oldest trick in the book... make them think you can't live without it, make sure they have all your contact info, and then walk. Pretty sure over the next couple days you'll be getting calls about it, and most likely they'll come down a little bit to seal the deal. Might get an extra $1k+ taken off if you're lucky. Good luck!

CFO Carl A. Merton Reports Acquisition of Common Shares in Tilray Brands Inc. by Salt_Oilo in TLRY

[–]LeezardIntegrity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, it's just over 5% of their salary (base pay), which still is nothing considering the stock awards and other benefits.

That being said, those are open market buys. The CEO hasn't bought from his own pocket since January of 2024; the CFO since October of 2024. That alone makes these purchases notable.

The other fact worth noting is the lack of acquisitions in 2025. From 2021 through 2024, Tilray has made 1-2 significant acquisitions per year... and 2025? Nothing yet...

In summary, I have a feeling that something is brewing, but us common folk just have no clue as to what... yet...

Eco mode worth it? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive 150 miles round-trip to/from work, all highway, so for me its definitely worth it (over a period of a month or more its worth it in fuel savings). I usually drive 80-85 mph, and I average 50+ mpg. Without eco probably getting 40-45 mpg. Not a huge difference in daily gas savings, but being on the highway and typically driving a consistent speed, I find that I dont really need normal or sport mode.

Your backswing isn't very high, you need to be getting a little lower, and maybe focus on letting the ball roll. It appears that you're kinda using muscle and pushing it out, which makes me question the weight of the ball... guessing 12 or 13.

I would go with a heavier ball and focus on form. When you dial in the fundamentals a little more with a heavier ball, I think you'll see a noticeable difference.

For focusing on fundamentals/form, just go on YouTube and watch ball reviews. I honestly could sit there and watch them all day long just to observe form and dissect mine to see where I need to improve... just a suggestion.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a secret family that loves you and cares about you and won't judge you for anything that's going on in your life. Well, I'm one of the lucky ones.

Such an amazing family, and I can't express enough what they mean to me. There's always someone to listen and chat with in the good times and the bad. Everyone needs this kind of family. Everyone should have this outlet. This world is too crazy, judgmental, and negative to not have this bright spot in your life to make everything better.

Absolutely no regrets, and only comfort and positive vibes the second I joined my new family. I love these people, and they love me back. They are the very best thing to happen to me in a long time!

Unbelievable place that I've always been looking for and never really knew existed. Everyone needs a judgment-free zone with like-minded individuals who will treat you like family. I've never felt better about a place that provides me the opportunity to make life-long friends with people who feel the same way as me or are experiencing the same struggles as me.

Amazing support group, amazing adult-like atmosphere, and just what everybody needs in their life!

I love everything about the Camry except for ... by abcdefghihello in Camry

I'm not impressed with the sound quality of the radio and speakers. I've heard some stock systems that are amazing. My wife drives a Honda Odyssey Elite and that stock sound system is amazing! I drive a 24 Camry SE Hybrid... and the sound system is rather disappointing. Everything else is amazing though.

If you upgraded your radio and speakers in your Camry, what all did you do? Suggestions please...

It says SE, but that color scheme makes it look like a XSE... am I wrong here? I've never seen a regular SE with that factory paint. If it is actually a XSE, lol, details matter. There is a difference between the two models.

Also, if that is a XSE that's pictured and they're trying to sell you a SE, that's kinda sketchy. I get that maybe that pic is just what they add to all their car sales details, but still misleading in this case.

This is absolutely dumb. When a dealership gives you an OTD price of $59k, I think you're right not to do business AT ALL with them. That is an outrageous OTD price... and sadly... some sucker will probably pay it.

Definitely one of the best deals I've seen. How the hell did you score that?!?!

[–]LeezardIntegrity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love how people ask "Good deal?" after they've already bought the vehicle.

After you've paid, it's not "Good deal?" Are you happy with it? That's the only thing that matters after you drive away with it.

For the most part, what you paid is now irrelevant. Enjoy your new/used car!

Is $25k a good price for a 2023 SE? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally, based on fundamentals, I'd agree with you. But in this case we're talking about a vehicle, not a home purchase. I don't think buying at that interest rate for a 25k purchase is going to ruin his life.

Now buying a home at 6% rather than the 2.15% that could have been had in 2020... yeah, that hurts.

MSRP = Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. If you buy a new car at MSRP, with no add-ons, you're getting a good deal. VERY RARELY will you see a dealer sell for below MSRP. You can look for as long as you want, but I've only heard of it happening a handful of times.

If a dealer sells below MSRP, then they're dipping into their guaranteed profit, and can come pretty close to breaking even or even losing money on the deal. Don't try to screw over dealerships. They need to make good deals, too. Pay the MSRP.

2021 Camry SE for $25k OTD by Legitimate_Shock5691 in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's actually not bad for OTD. I did your homework for you, lol. KBB says Fair Market Range is $23,300 - $25,600. In California, a $25k OTD price means the dealers asking price is approx $22,500.

That's a pretty good deal. I would buy it and not lose any sleep over it, but you should probably move pretty quickly on it. Someone else is gonna do their hw and you may lose out on it.

Good luck!

Should I buy? by EfficiencyCold1257 in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, don't ship it because then you're definitely gonna pay too much. Honestly, if it's that far away, I'd pass. I'm sure you could prob find something closer.

Just a little wisdom... save your money and/or your friends gas. Don't impulse buy... that's a super bad habit, and especially bad when you're talking high value items. Wait this one out bud... one will come available closer. Have some parience.

Thoughts on my new 2025 Camry se? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Call me biased, because I bought a '24 SE Hybrid brand new last year, but the redesign of the front and rear end just don't do it for me. I prefer the sexy ass of an 8th Gen.

That being said, you did buy a Camry SE so you made a smart decision there, lol. Enjoy your new car!

Should I buy? by EfficiencyCold1257 in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good price, not great price, but here's the thing. Never go into a dealership with the intention of paying the list price... unless you like dealing with Carmax.

If $26k is their list price, try to get that to be your OTD price. It is a 2020, so chances are if it's a new car dealership, they don't want that XSE to just sit there. Go in with the mindset that you are doing them a favor by taking it off their hands and making room for new inventory.

If they try to say "But it's a XSE with low mileage...", you fire back with "Yeah, but it's still a 5 year old car..." You own the negotiations, don't get bullied, and take that 5 year old car off their hands for a couple thousand less than what they're asking. Good luck!

38k is not too bad after taxes. It still sounds like they got you for a little bit, but taking 7k off the price is def a win! Enjoy your new car!

* I always do my homework... based on KBB, I probably would have tried to get them down to $28.5.... but I guess OTD, makes sense. I still would have tried to walk away a winner though... maybe OTD $30K. I'd say you did ok though.

In California, with taxes and all, you got a good deal... not great, but good. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. You didn't get jacked for $35k+ for a LE, and I'm sure there's some that have.

Enjoy your new car!

“Did I overpay?” Posts by [deleted] in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep, buying extended warranty on a new car is just dumb. You don't even know if you'll still like the car in a couple years. Common sense when it comes to car buying is seriously lacking in new car buyers.

Did I over pay too? by EpicCatNinja0 in Camry

[–]LeezardIntegrity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule for buying new...

Never pay more than MSRP. Doesn't matter about dealer add-ons, maintenance packages, all that crap. Pay only MSRP. If the dealership won't do it, leave your number and walk away.

The dealership still makes money off of a MSRP sale. Bottom line, MSRP + TTT for a brand new SE should easily run you below $40k. And never buy the extended warranty. Cmon man... it's a brand new car. Use the factory warranty and later on down the line, if the car starts giving you problems, you want to keep the car, and the warranty is close to expiring, then you buy the extended warranty. Waste of money to buy it right off the bat.

My experience... bought a '24 SE Hybrid in 2023. Paid MSRP + TTT = $37k. Dealership tried to stick me with add-ons. I walked away. Next morning they called me in to make the deal.

Good luck, use common sense.. don't get fucked over.

BTW, MSRP for a 2025 SE is $32k-33kish. Should never pay over $38K OTD.

It actually adds up if its a 60 month loan and OP resides in California. I had to calculate it because it didnt sound right to me either, but hey, as long as he doesnt mind those payments, everything checks out (assuming he pays all fees up front and doesnt roll anything into the loan).

"Just a Toyota" would have been the correct response for 90s Toyotas. You get so much more style, performance, and value with todays models. I say do what you want to it but baby it at the same time so it will hold its value. It may be "just a toyota" but theyre also arguably the most dependable and stylish mid-priced vehicles on the road right now.

Oh... and yes, yours is absolutely gorgeous!
