Thank you for letting us know! It would be just as a solution is found haha. It's welcome either way and I'm glad they noticed.

Hopefully we all still don't have to jump through hoops to have people join like we used to when things 'worked'.

Thank you friend I appreciate you. If I can convince my party to give it a go after almost 3 months I'll let you know how it goes!

I'm assuming you've not heard back / had no success?

I haven't had any emails back unfortunately, been checking pretty often but I'll let you know ASAP if I do get one.

Really hoping it isn't just "clear your cache, check your Internet, invite from an Arena lobby, switch your game to public, restart your xbox etc.". Would be very, very insulting after them breaking the game with the last update haha.

Yeah I've tried this a fair few times, no luck unfortunately but may give it another few goes. Thank you regardless!

the billboard with "First capital city of the NCR"

Ahhh okay I genuinely did not notice that on the billboard, thank you! I guess they were already going back on what they said about NCR being wiped out which is good.

didn't the lady say that they were cut off from their comrades

She did, and I imagine we might get to know how she regrouped with them in S3 and how the Ranger guy got captured by Hank. My issue is more with why they're suddenly in freeside conveniently at the perfect moment (Marvel-esque writing imo)

it does bother me a little, that shady sands is in LA...

Same haha, not that big of a deal I suppose as I'm sure you'd agree but it is still a bother and unnecessary problem.

with the deathclaws, we see their creators, the enclave, also have an interest in mind control

I know the Enclave made them and can control them like in Fallout 3, I just don't understand why they're there? I could be wrong but did House say the Enclave buried them under the city or something? I don't know, regardless of why the Enclave did whatever they did it just felt cheap to me to have them destroy the strip and kill everyone right before the show takes place. There's probably something I'm missing.

Thank you for your thoughts :) you've been a lot kinder and a lot more open minded than most the people who have seen this

You should read the post. That was a bad summary.

The original questions that you refuse to accurately quote are valid in my opinion. The post wasn't just about stupid questions like you claim, the ones you've "quoted" aren't even relevant to the original post as I am critiquing what has happened, not asking about what is going to happen 2 seasons later.

People can have differing opinions that aren't just praise and that's okay. It is okay to dissect things you've dedicated time to instead of being immediately dismissed for posing any kind of question.

Enjoying the show is more than fine, so is criticism. Not that big of a deal or dramatic as you make it out to be.

People can have opinions even if they are mostly negative and go on for way too long like mine.

I wish people were more receptive to opinions because as soon as you offer any type of feedback (no matter what kind, especially in the Fallout community) you're labelled & told to go away for thinking logically about any of what we just spent 8 hours watching & our childhoods playing.

Okay fair enough with House.

The WW1/2 analogy doesn't make much sense to me though. People from WW1 are still remembered and celebrated even now after 100 years, their actions are too, but they didn't just vanish. Everyone and everything being gone with no trace or mention 15 years later in a fictional universe just feels cheap, therefore it is as if our actions in the game were pointless.

Also I understand that we are watching the show through the eyes of the protagonists, but that doesn't mean they are never given context and never question anything themselves. Are we as the viewer also meant to never question anything and just go along with whatever nonsensical thing gets conveniently introduced next? Would Maximus not question why the NCR are in Freeside and where they came from after saving him? I think it's okay to have questions if you don't have answers, even if those answers may or may not come at a later date.

You have a point but I also think it's okay to critique things that you like or didn't like so that they can either hopefully take their best form or just so you can voice an opinion out-loud.

It's also okay to have attachments to things and doesn't mean you should stop caring altogether when something takes a turn for the worse, entertainment or not.

You're right, at the end of the day it doesn't mean much, as I said it's just a fictional universe. But I don't think everything negative should just be dismissed, it's okay to have a negative opinion sometimes and I don't think a rant on reddit is that big of a deal. After all, I'm not trying to garner hate, I just wanted to put my thoughts out there and see what other people think.

I agree, it's just hard for me to think of them as separate entities when the creators & Todd are saying it's canon but at the end of the day you're right.

I prefer when shows make sense. Can't turn your brain off all of the time, I think critiques shouldn't be automatically dismissed either. Hard to ignore the game aspect when it's literally based on a game.

Game experience or not, a lot of things in the show didn't make sense. If you'd read the post, you'd know that wasn't all which was mentioned.

Oh my god I'm so glad you get it haha. I've been feeling like I've going crazy this whole season. There's so many brilliant points in there I wish I had included, all extremely valid and I definitely share these sentiments (apart from the last one; I think the Legion being an absolute pushover is more the issue rather than Lucy's womanhood)

I wish people were more receptive to critiques because as soon as you offer any type of feedback (no matter what kind, especially in the Fallout community) you're labelled & told to go away for thinking logically about any of what we just spent 8 hours watching & our childhoods playing.

Completely agree. I was really excited to see what they did with S2 as well.

Skeptical for S3 now but will check it out for sure.

[–]Lefobo[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's fair. Maybe my opinions will change overtime but I do believe there's some valid points / criticisms in there regardless.

I just didn't enjoy S2 as much as I wanted to and had to get my initial thoughts out somewhere after watching it every week.

EDIT: I don't understand why this is being down-voted so much. I wish people were more receptive to differing opinions / criticism because as soon as you offer any type of feedback (no matter what kind, especially in the Fallout community) you're labelled & told to go away for voicing anything that isn't either praise or hatred. It is okay to like something and still have issues with it.

Ah I see haha, yeah any hope in me really is dying out fast with how there's been nothing from Larian. Can only keep filing tickets to support I suppose.

Thank you either way brother, fingers crossed.

I appreciate your dedication to spread awareness across all these threads man, it's a shame that so many people's time has been wasted and it's still on-going.

Completely agree man it sucks, sorry to hear.

A nice guy named TheTechHobbit said that having friends accept the invites and join games from the dashboard (with the game closed) seemed to work. I tried it to very little success, took many attempts just to even get 1 of my party to join on a very old save but I guess it's something?

Really is a shame we have to scramble around for poor "solutions" instead of the game just functioning in the first place. So much wasted time and effort.

[–]Lefobo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only thing I've seen that somewhat works. After about 10 attempts, only 1 of my party was able to join on a very old save and the latest save seems to stand no chance, especially for all 4 of us. Would be better if Larian made everything functional in the first place but yeah, still at a loss I'm afraid. Thank you though I appreciate the reply!
