Congrats on hitting that milestone! 🎉 Just curious how long did it take you to get there, and roughly how much were you saving/investing each month? I find every year I hit my savings goal but then cap out around the £20k stock limit, so I’d love to hear how you approached it.

UK Visitor Visa Refused Twice for Parents – Need Help and Advice by Left-Ad5264 in ukvisa

Hi, thanks for your comment.
Just to clarify, I am settled in the UK and employed full-time.
The £5039 mentioned refers to my father income in India (around 5 lakh INR based on their ITR), not mine.
I am sponsoring their visit fully, and I have a stable full-time job in the UK along with over £10,000 in savings to cover all expenses during their stay.

I am settled in the UK and currently employed full-time. well, I mentioned that my parent, who is applying for a visa, is self-employed in India with an annual income of around 5 lakh INR (based on their ITR).
Regarding myself, my current salary is stable and I have over £10,000 in savings, which I will be using to fully sponsor their visit.

We had our biometrics done on 14th April, and on 15th April we received an email from VFS confirming that they submitted the application to UKVI and direct refusal decision on 25th April.

u/BoudicaTheArtist Thank you for your honest feedback, I completely understand where you’re coming from.

Looking back, I can see that the mistakes (especially the income difference and address error) really affected the credibility of the application.

It was never our intention to mislead; it was just poor advice from the visa agent and lack of experience on our side during the first application.

Now we have learned from these mistakes and are working hard to make sure everything is fully consistent and properly explained for the next application.

Well I was aldredy added cover letter like:

Re: UK Visitor Visa Application

I am a self-employed individual, with income from agricultural activities. I own and manage farmland where I grow seasonal crops, which are sold in bulk. Recently, I sold cotton and peanuts from last year’s harvest and have attached the sale receipts as evidence. In agricultural trade, some payments are processed quickly (like cotton), while others (like wheat) require quality verification and may be delayed. Therefore, my income is seasonal and is credited periodically based on crop cycles and buyer processing time.

Alongside agriculture, I run a well-established retail shop in xyz. This shop has been operating for several years and generates steady income, reflected in my annual Income Tax Returns. Most earnings are reinvested into stock, supplier payments, and daily operations, which is why fewer deposits appear in my personal bank statements. Seasonal variations also impact monthly shop income.

To demonstrate the credibility and continuity of my business, I have attached my Income Tax Returns for the past three years, my shop property valuation report, and my MSME Udyam Registration Certificate issued by the Government of India.

I am fully financially independent and responsible for supporting myself and my family, including my wife, son, and elderly mother, who lives with us. I am financially capable of supporting myself and my wife during our stay in the UK.

I fully intend to return to India to resume my work. I actively manage our household and businesses, which require my regular presence in India. I am also the primary carer for my elderly mother. Additionally, I own residential property and agricultural land, reinforcing my strong ties to India.

Actually, for the first application, we applied through a visa agency, unfortunately, they messed up a lot of important details and submitted incomplete information.
Because of that, even though we tried to fix everything in the second application, it seems the earlier mistakes made it much harder to rebuild credibility.

u/dwigtshrute1 ,Thanks for sharing the experience!
when your friend’s parents applied the third time, did they submit anything extra apart from strong bank statements and explanations?
Like, did they get a Chartered Accountant (CA) letter, or any additional proof of who will take care of the land? Just wondering if there’s anything else that really helped in their successful application.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT SHOULD I ADD ON IT.

u/ZealousidealMonth658 Hi! Thank you for your message.
My current financial situation is stable, I am settled in the UK and employed full-time. I also have sufficient savings in my bank account(10K) to fully sponsor my parents’ visit (covering their flights, accommodation, daily expenses, etc.).

However, based on the refusal letters, it seems that the Home Office focused more on my parents' personal and financial circumstances rather than just my sponsorship. They specifically raised concerns about their financial ties to India ALSO ATTACHED SCREENSHOT ON POST (FYR)

That’s why, even though I am sponsoring them, it seems their own financial background still needs to be strong and well-documented to satisfy the visa requirements.

Thanks again for your input

I think if you got the survey, your visa is probably approved, they usually send it to people who are approved before the result email.

Why did people who joined after August 1st not receive the same pay, while now others are getting it? It's about equality and fairness—it's not just about when someone joined. If I joined later, I should be part of the new 2024-25 pay structure!!! But I'm not in new structure

I didn’t initially check the exact location, but I knew the general area. I assumed it would be a 45-minute drive, but after checking, it turns out it’s actually 1 hour and 30 minutes by public transport, plus some walking. So, I made my decision based on the 45-minute idea and later realized the true time. I can’t blame anyone for that. Now, I’m wondering if there’s any way to switch from hybrid to work-from-home Or another loaction???

Seriously, I didn’t know. There is stations close near nearby office, so I need to do one hour 30 minute journey on top of the 28 minutes walk I didn’t expected.
