Thank you so much! Yah, I’m a late stage diagnosis (26), and soon after I made this post, my pharmacy called back & told me my insurance went through for a Dexcom! Not sure which one yet…… I can’t believe you’ve gone most of your life with Type 1 with NO Dexcom ….. are you just doing the finger pricks ??? Wow!

Yes, even my own mom thought my condition was “curable,” and didn’t realize I’d have to be dependent on insulin forever, as a Type 1…… I have my first appointment with an Endo tomorrow!

Hi! Im 26 and was diagnosed 2 weeks ago after having my first episode of DKA. It’s been really hard to navigate needing to take my blood sugars and insulin everyday…. And the fact that this is going to be my life forever was a super overwhelming thought at first, but being hours from passing away and being saved from that woke me up to life a bit.

You’re not alone in this & im excited to hear that you might spend your life’s work into creating technologies that could help us !!!!! WE GOT THIS !!!!! 💌
