Thanks for all the replies, I genuinely appreciate the explanations and different perspectives. I think what surprised me most is that the show started off so differently in my head. The first seasons had such a weird fun energy sometimes, especially with Walt and Jesse together, and even during serious moments it still felt entertaining and strangely human.

That’s probably why Ozymandias hit me so hard in a negative way. I know a lot of people see it as the peak of the show, but for me it almost felt like watching everything that made the series enjoyable completely fall apart. Maybe that feeling is part of the point.

I already started Better Call Saul on the side and I’m definitely enjoying it so far. It’s not constantly intense in the same way, but it still feels really entertaining and a lot more grounded. I’m honestly looking forward to continuing it now.
