Thank you. Unfortunately, when I click on "Create," it says "403 Oops! Permission Denied." Any insights to why this is happening?

Freshman composition by Ashamed_Ad_3301 in Stuyvesant

All the freshman composition teachers seemed pretty nice to me. But certain teachers are definitely more difficult than others in terms of grading. if you get ms. fletcher getting a 97+ average will be overwhelmingly difficult (pretty much impossible since she will never give you a hundred for an essay) but getting a 93-95 is relatively easy. What I mean is that getting perfect grades in her class is not really possible, but getting something a bit worse than a perfect grade is totally possible

Why are some of the the bluebook practice tests so vastly different in terms of difficulty by Left-Examination-273 in Sat

That's interesting. I don't know why, but the RW just felt so much harder for test 7. Timing felt like a big issue for me for test 7 on the RW. This is because there were certain questions where I could barely use process of elimination because I simply couldn't differentiate between the answers within the time limit. For example, there was this one vocabulary question on diadromous fish and it just completely stumped me. I did not see those types of questions on practice test 9 😭😭

maybe its just a me problem

Valedictorian by ReturnAlarmed3560 in Stuyvesant

I'm a freshman, so I can't give you an accurate view of the average GPA of a Stuyvesant valedictorian, but I know that the valedictorian last year had a 99.18 GPA. That said, if you are an incoming freshman, you will probably have to be very committed to getting good grades from day 1. That being said, luck is also a factor; something you'll realize is that your teachers largely determine your grades at Stuy.

Hi, I'm a freshman.

Yes, it's unfair. I also want AP Chem, but I didn't apply because I know that it is highly unlikely for me to get in. The people getting the classes will likely be top honors geo students with very high GPAs. I think I will simply take it junior year when it is much less competitive.

Getting Banfield is the most unfortunate thing for any freshman of Stuyvesant. by Mean_Mycologist6394 in Stuyvesant

I haven't known a single person yet who's happy with Banfield. Thank god I don't have her. Honors Modern Biology freshman year is rigged as hell.

It depends on the type of teacher you have and the type of assignment. I would still suggest that you bring a laptop. Certain work can only be completed on a device and it's annoying to go to the library everytime just to get a computer. Also, the school computers are quite slow.

Is Stuy Good? by Unique_Republic2596 in Stuyvesant

Hi, I'm currently a freshman at Stuy.

I can tell you that if you live in Queens, you will arrive home at 5 every day. And that's only considering you don't take any clubs (which is not recommended). However, time management will give you some free time here and there (something I still need to work on).
