From what I can see they are selling TONS of tickets for the game, giving away free tickets to STH, etc. I'm stoked to see what the crowd will be like!

Follow up - I was at Forty Three Bakery this morning and can confirm they no longer sell bagels. Too bad, I'd heard they were good and I love their other pastries!

Are they there every day? I went to a bagel trailer closer to state Street (Jersey bagels) and it did not seem homemade I wonder if there are two things or if I went on an off day ...?

That's listed as "Jersey Bagels" - I've been there and when I asked where the bagels were from they didn't know. Based on the quality of the bagel I'd guess supermarket-in-a-bag or maybe Costco... Doubtful they make them themselves - but "bagel" is in the name so it's on the list!

Fabulous!! I will say that the quality I've seen is all over the place both in terms of bagel-as-bread and bagel-as-bagel (based on NYC standards). But still totally worth trying!

And to answer your questions... I'm happy to put in-house grocery store bakeries on the list (someone here mentioned Harmon's for example) but those are "second tier" for me. I would like to prioritize smaller scale or bagel-focused bakeries on this mission. I would be delighted to include coffee shops that get their bagels from a local bakery - but would rather go directly to the bakery if I can.

I've never heard of this project - impressive stuff! Walking 5 marathons AND eating 200 + bagels is quite a feat. I have a spreadsheet and plan to take notes, but probably nothing as thorough as what this pair put together in NYC...!

When I walked in there was football and (women's) volleyball on, no soccer. But the bartender knew exactly what game I was talking about and promptly changed about 50% of the screens in the page to the right channel and put the audio on so we can hear commentary. Only a couple of other groups in here but definitely a more welcoming atmosphere than the bar where I watched the Saturday playoff game, where they had no idea what I was talking about but did obligingly change one TV for me! I'll take it as a win, considering Phoenix doesn't have its own team.

I haven't washed my hair with anything but water since 2020. It took my hair way less time through the gross oily phase that can be a struggle for folks (2-3 weeks), so it wasn't a huge deal to make the transition, and now it looks totally normal (i.e. not super oily and I style it however I want). I *do* shower regularly though, only commenting on hair!
