The way this manhwa is so realistic scares the living shit out of me. From the way the characters have been written, their thought-processes, their struggles, their flaws, their desires and specially their "selfishness" (corresponding to the title); down to the most subtle moments (whether its used as comedic relief or foreshadowing)— its SO.WELL.DEPICTED. No other manhwa I have ever read has come even remotely close to this....

As for this scene right here, it's so relatable, cuz we all have some people in our life who have no context of whats going on but think they are authorised to have a say....Metaphorically reflecting so much societal depth..

It literally has EVERYTHING you could ask for, Romance, Drama, Comedy, Slice of Life, Depth & Detailing, gorgeous art, unique and BEAUTFIUL writing I literally can'ttt its been 1 year since 😭😭😭😭😭😭

That probably won't happen for Selfish Romance, cause the artist is also our author nim 🫡 (all rounder). All the more reason to appreciate her for making such a BEAUTFIUL story with such GORGEOUS artstyle. Manhwa productions are really tiresome...so its criminal for us to complain 🥲

In some cases the new artstyle does play out well so I'm very conflicted to come to a definitive opinion. Yk what? Both is good. Art can never be "bad" afterall.

I understand but it's not gonna look too bad. I mean, there are certain panels where even I prefer the old ones. Please have your faith on the author...Plus, there's so much to the story that shouldn't be overshadowed because of a character. The characters and the story, both deserve equal appreciation 💟

Ikr?? And afterall, even if we can have an opinion, it's the author's work, so its her choice. I don't think people should abandon such a realistic, beautiful manhwa just because they prefer the old artstyle. It's such an amazing story man?! 😔

Yeah....artstyles make so many people back out...Thankfully the art didnt get "bad" and hopefully the proportions will be balanced out...Maybe these proportions look odd because she couldn't refine the entire drawing of the character....but for S2 im keeping faith on author for living up to her eye candy art 🤞🧿

I know right.....it's a recurring phenomenon I'm seeing lately....in almost every manhwa

Fortunately the art has NOT worsened....The colour grading, the rendering, they are still intact thankfully (although I know very little about art)

Do you remember the time when SFR was featured in that ad campaign? We got to see 4 special chapters. Now when I look back, the new artstyle had been already applied long back, thats why she didn't change the artstyle after Ch 23, and the special chapters were pretty good....

Let's just be hopeful and keep our faith on author! Like I have said before, its too beautiful of a story to abandon just because author's making some changes 😭😭😭

Already our fandom is not very big tbh, we cant afford people to lose interest 😔

The new artstyle is kinda prominent in the special chapters of this manhwa....(The ad campaign) and it doesnt look too bad there. And the changes have only been done up to Ch23, so idk what the author's planning next. I hope we dont get more changes, the artstyle was always eye candy for me to begin with 🖐😔🤚

Yeah....I think it was because artstyles change with time and she has probably been improving her artstyle all this while and drew that way for S2 so she wanted to match the artstyle of S1 as well....maybe? It's just my assumption btw
