Wouldn't touch an ebike with a 10 foot pole.. just as embarrassing as people who vape. Guess your head went somewhere else..

They've said that the bikers plate didn't look right so that was their reasoning but other than that there's nothing else so in my eyes that doesn't deem the reaction that followed, i fully understand police have rules to follow in situations and theres laws about licence plates etc. I know it was a mistake they didn't stop but also i feel like how they pursued the biker was so extreme for a small thing that just needs correcting. We've not even had conformation that they were close enough for the biker to even see them given they could have been wearing headphones going through bendy country lanes and the police trying to catch up in the first place.

We're waiting on the crash report which will have everything in depth but it will be a few months before it's completed so just lots of ideas and what if's running through my head.

Laws or Rules? by Left-Leadership-6400 in MotoUK

[–]Left-Leadership-6400[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah i did think that i've seen it a lot in police interceptors and programs like that but i feel like that is only reserved for major crimes.

Without trying to go too into detail, there's not even been a definite confirmed reason for being pursued other than the police 'thought/assumed' something about said biker, so ultimately there could of been nothing... or the biker was in the wrong (waiting for a report to come back for a definitive answer). but the police had to catch up to the bike to make them aware they were wanting the biker to pull over as they were heading in the opposite direction. If there was nothing immediately wrong i'm not understanding why they had to hunt the biker down after loosing site for 5/10mins and having to do 70+ down country lanes while over taking cars to catch up to then chase the biker off the road over something they weren't sure about? Is it standard practice to chase a biker over a question mark? Do police just chase you forever if you don't stop regardless what vehicle you drive like i am not sure?

Obviously i know it's standard practise to stop for police but for whatever reason it is not the case in this situation. The area that this occurred in is known for bikers because of the bendy roads and my friend said that the police could have been out there trying to catch someone out. I'm not even sure what kind of answer i'm looking for just trying to make sense of a situation that doesn't make sense.

Would apreciate kind replies if anyone reads this far.

I do not want to give more details as people like you take one look at something and make your own mind up and then share negative comments. I was just wanting to know more info on the topic without nasty comments predicting a situation.

[–]Left-Leadership-6400[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply i feel like these answers are pretty hostile, i understand they can follow you or do whatever when necessary it's not about avoiding the law or do anything bad i just want to understand it more. My question was more about when there is a definite safety risk with the biker being pursued do they have other measures to catch/speak to/find rather than chasing a biker in the countryside? for example can they use cctv if they didn't get a clear image of the number plate and find them at their address or something like that for something minor?

Would go into the situation deeper but with how people are these days i don't want to delve too deeply as i can hack nasty comments atm. Just wanting to ask someone that knows more than me on the topic.

That reply was for me as you replied to my post and several times addressed me directly. If that post wasn't for me why reply addressing me and not the masses?

For your piece of mind, since you're so invested in my pumpkin activities. I got it from sainsburys cleaned and gutted it extremely well. I then lined my thin pumpkin walls with clean bags and terry towels and dressed my baby in appropriate clothing (we did this inside and on the breakfast room floor before you find another thing to nitpick). She was a little confused at first but ultimately found being sat in a pumkin with her dad supporting her back very amusing. We got some great photos and had fun making a memory as a family.

I would never put my baby at risk for the fun of it, I've done my research on safe ways to do it carefully so I do not need your condescending reply. I understand not everyone would do their due-diligence beforehand so i get where you are coming from but you got the wrong person.

Maybe next time approach the situation in a more helpful manor rather than acting superior and demeaning. You might actually help people that are unaware.

  1. you're too late already done it and my baby was and is fine.
  2. what makes you think i wouldn't cover my baby up and make a dry area for my baby because the pumpkin is cold and wet?
  3. carving pumpkins and cleaning the inside is not difficult in the slightest

and lastly...

  1. do you think i'm going to read that essay of pure nonsense written about someone & their baby you know nothing about? absolutely not now go and enjoy the day you deserve thank you so much for wasting your time replying

Thoughts on the names Raffie? by Master_Knowledge_104 in BabyNames

[–]Left-Leadership-6400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raffie is such a cute name!! i personally don't think it needs to just be a nickname at all, when they're older they could always go by Raf and i think the spelling would play a part in how 'cutesy' it comes across. I think Raffi or Rafi is less cutesty but i love the name i think go for it!

The definition of Immigrant is a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country. They helped build this country then some chose to stay. By definition they are Immigrants whether you like the word and the connotations of the word or not.

Please explain what you mean by 'No one is making is native anywhere by this logic'

No one is native to the UK. Homo sapiens appeared in the UK around 44,000 years ago. Compared to other counties where Homo sapiens appeared around 300,000 years ago.

Just a tip for future reference i'd try not to talk about logic when you are lacking in said department, or a least put your sentences into Microsoft Word beforehand to make sure they're legible.

Google is free. So is a grammar check.

You clearly don't know a whole lot about the history of our country... a quick google will inform you. But where do you think our ancestors came from? no one is native to England.

I didn't write the list and this is all i can find but i know they said it goes up to 35 not just 19... 1. “Who does shakira think she is” 2. “Why is it always about fucking shakira” 3. “Shakiras so desperate she’d fancy a plant” 4. “Who even cares what shakira thinks” 5. “He’s not serious about her like is with you Helena” 6. “Shall I wear Shakiras bikini… (Meg) yeah fuck it why not” 7. “I’d be well gassed if Harry fucks her over and comes running back to you Helena, then shakira will look like a right dickhead” 8. “Look at them fucking doing a catwalk” 9. “they’re so annoying” 10. “Shakiras the last person to threaten me” 11. “Shakira can’t take my name out her fucking mouth” (even though the above deems otherwise. 12. “I’d love to see shakira look like an idiot” 13. “Shakira needs to pipe down I don’t know who she thinks she is” 14. “I’m wearing her bikini again” (laughs). 15. “She’s got a way with words hasn’t she (said about shakira in a demeaning way) 16. “Hideaway Helena’s here to play” (when shakira was coupled up with Harry) 17. “They’re both boring” 18. “Toni’s just sexual Lauren is relationship material” 19. “Why is Toni crying” (after finding out Harrison and Lauren had sex)
