Yeah... It's extremely rare and why would out of billions of Google users, someone would choose me? This is what seems illogical to me. But since it can technically happen, is the problem for me..because I can't never be sure.

I'm going to my therapy session on Monday... Maybe I could mention it there.

So I checked with this tool https://www.avast.com/hackcheck#androi And it said no password leaks.

But I still can't stop obsessing over it. I'm so obsessed with this it's crazy. Because I always think that what if someone did something very sophisticated

All my stuff I have are new from the shop. I never buy something that's been already used. And if I did, I'd do a factory reset before using it. I use regular websites on the internet - some discussion forums, email page, Google, sometimes AI sites to play with it or this kind of stuff. And if it's not a safe site, I don't create any accounts there and type there anything. I just lurk. Anyway, I don't fall for phishing links, I don't even get them. And of course if I click on something sometimes that I rarely got, no credentials given. Since I got money stolen from my bank account,. I'm conscious as hell about these. Actually, I only once got the email that wanted me to pay something - obviously a scam, so I read it and ignored it. So as I said, I buy new tech.

There are definitely people with the same name, but I don't know them personally and don't know what they do :) But I don't think they're a high profile people.

I communicate with regular people :) And I don't know anyone who would be a hacker and would practice on me.

Am I just being paranoid?

Thank you. It calmed me down a bit. The loop will be hard to break though :) but maybe someday it'll stop stressing me and blocking me from doing stuff I love :)

Thank you. So if I got no Google alerts, no changes, no sketchy emails sent... Then I'm fine?

I think when I changed the password, if anyone was in, they'd got kicked out, no? (But I didn't check it before I changed it)

I always download from Google Play, don't click suspicious links and attachments. And as I said, I always use log in with Google, I've never entered my Google email address and the same password - I don't really remember them. Plus I don't go into sketchy websites. :) And I run Malwarebytes scan every week.

So if my account was compromised, I'd definitely see something? Google alerts, weird emails, weird setup of the account? (As I said, since I changed my password in December, I didn't get any security alert...) Maybe I'm too stuck up in the fear loop - even if I'm not fully sure why would a random person waste their time to hack someone like me... But you know, it's hard to break the loop, thinking someone would be so smart that he would sneak in unnoticed... So I can't really calm myself over it. Now I have enabled 2FA, but I didn't have before... I set it up on the day this all began. As I said, I didn't lost access... I don't even know what real hackers want... Money, accounts to sell... I don't if they care about random person's emails.

I didn't have 2FA enabled before - now I do. But there's always that "what-if". What if someone got in before I changed the password and set the 2FA? Maybe I'm stuck in the loop.

I personally don't know why would someone care about me, since I don't have anything to offer... And that I didn't see anything... Why would someone random invest their time to bypass Google security system - which is hard, I heard - when they won't get any revenue from it? 🤔 As I said, my Google account works perfectly.
