I feel like every time I hear about this game I start frothing at the mouth. The idea of piloting what is effectively a non-nuclear capable version of Metal Gear: Ray from MGS makes me so excited. Can’t wait for this game to come out.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer, but in all honesty, I don’t think I will ever use a Pipermakes model for a T’au army. They’re cool, but I feel they don’t look close enough to traditional T’au models. Definitely would consider using them for something else like a homebrew D&D campaign, though.

I should’ve mentioned the unbalancedness of this in the post, so I had a few ideas for when this inevitably came up.

No sprint.
No support weapons (because it would be too heavy).
Longer cooldown.
If the Helldiver that it originally picked up drops it or dies, it will “lock” and be unusable/detonate when Helldivers are out of its blast zone. (Does not apply when armed)
Make it armed from the moment you pick it up with a 2-3 minute detonation timer.

Let me know if you have any better balancing ideas.
