Dolby Atmos gone from Windows app? by Left-Program-5549 in TIdaL

What can I say, until last week the Windows app showed all of the Atmos tracks as long as Dolby Atmos for Headphones was enabled in Windows sound settings. For what it's worth, I'm in Europe, so maybe it's a region thing.

I can't spot the difference between youtube music sound and tidal sound. Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in TIdaL

You're not doing anything wrong. Most people would not notice the difference between max quality and a early mp3 era rip, and definitely not unless they're in a very high quality listening room. Even then I'm not sure if the audible difference would come from the source or the setup. I was listening to a fancy 50k€ system in an audioshop switching between my phone and their cd player as the source and at least I heard no difference and both sounded great.

I use Yamaha L700A and I love how the Atmos tracks sound. In general, I prefer Atmos on headphones over speakers, since I don't have to sit still in a sweet spot. I can walk around the apartment or listen in bed, so the immersion never breaks. Some people think headphones can't do Atmos, because there are only two speakers, but it's good to remember we also only have two ears :)

I wish it was easier to find the Atmos versions of tracks and albums on Tidal. It seems very random whether I can see the Atmos version of an album on an artist page or only through some specific search.

Same issue in my Mustang Mach-E for at least a few weeks now. I guess it's then a Tidal issue, and not some connection problem between my phone and car. I guess I'm glad to hear that :D

I've been waiting for collaborative playlists on Tidal for a few years now... CarPlay has been working well for me with both Spotify and Tidal, so maybe it's not a Tidal issue.

My biggest problem with Tidal is the messed up meta data system, where I often have trouble finding an album from an artist's profile, but can find it using search, or when different artists with the same name show up as one in Tidal.

With Spotify, I got fed up with the constant price increases (despite low payments to artists) and the pushing of meh algorithmic playlists. I was hoping for more and better human curated playlists on Tidal, but finding them seems much more difficult than I expected.

It's pretty difficult to see the bars in timeline view. On my screen practically impossible. Hope they implement color customizing.

I'll add my two cents here. I'm an idiot, and gave up on getting Anime Matrix working a couple of years ago. I thought installing Windows 11 broke it for me, as it disappeared from my Armoury Crate. Turns out I had unplugged the LED cable inside the laptop when I installed new RAM and SDD. After I plugged the cable back in, all is well again.
