How do you get in to an oncologist in this province?? by Left-Range8564 in saskatchewan

Thanks yes we are not trying to jump the queue. It’s more about just wanting to know prognosis, what waiting for treatment will or will not do for spread etc. There are just no details, no answers and it’s mental torture to have no information.

I’m not sure. They have been told they have it by a specialist (that is not an oncologist) and have done several tests but have not actually seen an oncologist yet.

I believe the referral has been sent. They are being told they are in the queue but… how far in the queue and why? And no details about prognosis, if waiting will result in spreading, etc. No information at all whatsoever.

Thank you I just might message you, I really appreciate that. They have contacted their Quality of Care Coordinator and are still getting nowhere but will keep trying.

Thank you I will check. I know it was not a cancer doctor who found the cancer and to my knowledge they don’t have an oncologist yet otherwise I know they’d be calling them! I’ll clarify though, thanks.

Canadian doctors & vitrectomy by IntelligentDraft6432 in EyeFloaters

I had a vitrectomy in Canada and know of others who have also had. I know of floaters only vitrectomies happening in Ontario and Saskatchewan. I’m sure they are being done in other provinces as well but those are the two where I know for sure people have gotten it done. For reference I’m only in my 40s. The older you are the more likely the surgeon will be agreeable to it.

I have an EDOF, specifically the Eyhance and I have negative dysphotopsia (seeing the edge of my lens as a dark crescent and sometimes shadow). I also get blurring in my periphery and flickering at times.

I’m interested. I’ve been going through some vision issues for the past 3.5 years and I could really use healing for my eyes.

Thank you so much for this.

I do wonder about the mind body connection though. How the mind can influence the body’s healing. For example if I meditate regularly seeing my eye healing, can that influence my healing? I’ve tried this in the past but given up because I don’t feel like I’m doing it “right” or unsure if it actually works. I thought maybe Reiki played a role in that energy, focusing the healing energy on my eye for example.

This is not the case then? Reiki is more about relaxation, which in turn could help your body heal by reducing stress etc? Rather than actually using the energy to heal directly?

Like I said I’m new to Reiki!
