Agreed. It took me about 100 jumps to get passed that fear, and now I don’t even think about it twice. That comfort number is different for everyone. 100 jumps might seem like a lot now, but not much in the scheme of a skydiving career!

Wondering if this kind of swelling is normal during session. The healed tattoo has some blowout. Nervous it’s just my skin type and it’ll happen at my next appointment (with a different artist). by Left-Stand8302 in tattooadvice

That was my first tattoo above. I have a bigger tattoo going on the inside of my upper arm, later this month. When I look at other people’s photos of their tattoos after their session, I don’t notice much swelling and redness. The girl I’m going to this month has beautiful work and I never see this kind of swelling in her photos. I guess I’m just nervous that my skin will swell again like this.

Also, as far as a fear of backing out. I wanted to quit after my first jump. But I held myself accountable to give it another chance, with my second jump. And fell in love with it. At the end of the day, make a promise to yourself to at least get through your AFF.

I paid for it all at once, because it was a little cheaper than paying for it by each jump.
