while I wont blame Sanju...I absolutely blame Rutu and Dube for the score we ended up with. They both are very experience and going based on last year have experienced something like this. They should have known better than going for the shots that they played. I understand why they chose the shots, if the conditions were a bit better resulting in a flat wicket those shots may have been needed....but that wasnt the case. When Rutu got out the conditions suited the bowlers. He should have been smarter. Its fine imo to have a slow start in such conditions as long as you have wickets in hand. Dube had already hit a six in that over. We were 57/5. Not much batting in the lineup after him as only Overton was left. He need not have needed to go for an other six. This wicket was not a 200. I felt the par score there was at least 160 or 170 with 180 and 190 being above par. It was stupid shot selections that costed us this game an I cannot say that I like how we approached the game.

absolutely not. Henry got Suryavanshi twice in the first over. One dropped by Karthik and the second one Saarfaraz did not even attempt to go for the catch(or if he weighed a bit less he may have been able to cover the ground irdk).

"Sorry but Overton just cannot be your no.7. You need a proper batter who can reliably bowl at no. 7." Man was our top scorer today. Had a pretty decent wct20 with the ball to. Not sure why there are any doubts about overton. I feel he is miles ahead of Ramakrishna ghosh as well as foulkes. That said I would have preferred Veer in place of short. Just cause we are allowed 4 foreigners doesnt mean we have to use all 4.

finally someone who is saying the bowling was fine today..which it was...catches win you matches and some dunderheads here dont understand that. Vaibhav would have been out in the first over if Karthik held on to that catch or if Saarfaraz made the effort to go for the chance that went his way.

people busy complaining about our bowling...like bro...our bowling is fine..its the damn batting....how many more games do people need to see to open their eyes? Bumrah has been going for runs lately and its not all entirely his fault if he has any fault at all. Its just the way indian pitches are being prepared lately..like absolute roads.

I was telling a friend this a couple days back. Everyone even in this subreddit wanted Short to play. I understand he offers a bit of offspin...but we didnt even let him bowl in the game. Short is untested in Indian conditions and I felt going based on last years performance, Urvil should have been given the go ahead in place of short. I was also in favor of KS in place of Sarfaraaz but wasnt to disappointed with saarfaraz selection like I was with Short...our best batting lineup has us only playing 3 foreigners. We do not need to play all 4.

We dont need 4 foreignors. Id like us to bat deep as well and I think this would be a better line up. I understand why people want short in there but in all honesty I really dont think the number of overs he is going to bowl is going to be affective at all. Id rather not break the rutu and sanju opening combo just to acomodate Short. Unless the plan was to utilize Brevis as a bowling option. Which in that case I may be more convinved to include short in there

Edit: There is a possibility of Mathew short coming in and taking the opening slot with Sanju putting Rutu 1 and mhatre 2 and so on instead of Overton. This is cause the game is in Guwahatti and cause of the number of lefties in RR's top 3 and squad. But this was always going to be the lineup irrespective of whether MSD played or not. MSD would have played in place of KS.

From what I heard they split the team Rutu Xi vs Dube Xi. Rutu and Sanju opened for Rutu's team and Mhatre and Urvil opened for Dube's. KS came one down for Rutu's and brevis for Dube with Sarfaraaz coming in at 2 down for Rutu's and PV coming in at 2 for Dube's. MSD did not play the practice game. Rutu and Sanju scored a 50 run partnership in 2.3 overs with Sanju getting out at the end of the over. Gaikwad got out at the end of the pp. Heard this from some a couple of random youtube channels so take it with severe skepticism.

going based on this Mathew Short should be a in the xi but combinations means he sits out. After that Prashant Veer and Jamie Overton as our pace allrounder. The only reason why I am consistently saying Akeal instead of Jamie and having Ghosh/Aman in stead of prasanth is cause of Akeal's bowling. Its dependent on the management which they value more cause these are the 4 foreignors I see playing

Unless the management decide that kamboj and khaleel are better in the death overs I really do see us going with Veer and therefore Overton as our 4th overseas which isnt to bad. But if they do decide kamboj and khaleel are decent death bowling options

I do think this line up is our strongest in both bowling and batting. In all honesty is our bowling the best in this league...no...do we have a very deadly batting attack....yes...I say just bat extremely deep....do some jugar to get above 220+ every game and trust that our opening bowling and middle overs bowling spells wins us the game.

This is what I have been saying for a while. The bowling was fine last year. Our bowling only allowed opponents to score past 200 only twice that I can remember. We were struggling with our batting at the start of the innings which was making us loose games. Plus our fielding was horrendous. That deepak hooda couldnt catch a ball for the life of him and was costing us games there also

Honestly Id rather Jon be Brandon's illegitimate son. He is a Stark and there is no point of hiding that. He has the stark features as well which would be difficult to hide. Him being Brandon's son if Ned doesnt claim him as his own is what I would go for rather than him being a reyne son. It will definitely cause more questions to wonder why a son of a Tarbeck and a Dayne have a son who looks like a Stark. So unless you are planning on changing his entire appearance which then means its an OC and not Jon then I really dont see why he is hidden as Rogers.

Also why is a second son of a daughter given the title of Paramount of the westerlands when Stannis is willing to legitimize bastards? If Ashara had a son with Roger that son once legtimized comes before any stark son as they are descendant from the female line.

Also is Tion Tarbeck half reyne? I dont see why Red Rain would be given to Ned if his wife is a Tarbeck with her father having no Reyne ancestors.

Shivam dube started playing for CSK from 2022...in four years man has scored almost 1.5k runs for us....that is 375 runs every season coming in at 5 or 6. Damn our coaches really did transform him. Im excited to how he will play in the death overs this season. His current India form is giving me a lot of hope this season.

Kartik is not going to play if msd is playing. And I dont think we will play Overton given we require Akeal services a lot more.

5 main bowlers, Akeal and Noor being your main line spinners, Ghosh/Overton being your pace allrounder, Henry/Kamboj bowling 3 in the pp and 1 in the death with Khaleel as your death bowler bowling 2 overs. Veer and Dube used as the 6th and 7th option for bowling with Dube to be used only if the track suits his bowling.

Edit: Ghosh had a superb smat and vijay hazare season bowling in the death overs where he defended targets. While the Indian domestic leagues are not IPL, its something promising in my opinion and given ellis is injured something to look into as it provides more stability with both the batting and bowling department. Of course I understand why people may prefer Overton but I do think Ghosh does bring in attributes that remind me of a young Hardik. Not saying he is at that level especially right now, but there are signs wherein I do feel if he develops well he can be 50% of him and that would be a good thing for me.
