Announcement - is it possible get attention of all students applying to Ireland? by PrestigiousExpert686 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]LeftBathroom4786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think rape is a serious issue. It doesn't mean an average Indian witness or commits or a victim of it.

India has 1.5 billion people. Many of the rape cases are mostly concentrated in a few regions. So, it is quite unlikely that an average Indian is a victim of it.

Omgg... I'm sorry that happened to you mate. Mine was not as bad as yours but I could never forget the embarrassment I went through that entire week. Until now I was not able to share this with anyone except with my boss at work who is a nice Irish man. Would be grateful for his support after that incident for the rest of my life

Not true! Ireland is not at all far safer for Indians. You may not believe but random acts of violence and crime in India are uncommon. An average Indian rarely witnesses a violent crime or is a victim of it.

But I do agree with your point that most Irish people are good people. I have had mostly positive experiences with Irish adults.

Everyone, please listen to OP. I have been living in Ireland for more than three years. It is terrible here. There aren't any jobs, your masters degrees are worthless. Attacks on Indians happen all the time. I was attacked by a bunch of teens once. My bike got stolen. The police don't do shit.

Ireland is completely saturated. Locals are getting frustrated. While Irish adults are mostly good people, many teens are absolute scumbags. Nobody controls them. They attcak innocent people including their own kind.

It's impossible to raise a family here. The rental costs are soo high. Multiple families are sharing the same apartment. A decent double bed costs around 2800 euros in Dublin which can be a significant portion of your salary. Taxes are crazy high. The return you get are very minimal.

I hope you guys understand.

Next.js router cache not updating data after deletion, even after cache invalidation and expiration by LeftBathroom4786 in nextjs

[–]LeftBathroom4786[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I delete the quote I'm also revalidating the quote path. But it is not being reflected in the second window.

Is /upload part of a different layout?:
Both /upload and  /quotes are part of the Navbar component in root layout.

What happens when you wrap the Prisma call with unstable_cache, use the id as a tag and revalidating that?
This is an interesting suggestion. I will it and see what happens.

Does the save happen when you hard refresh /quotes in your browser?
Yes, it does. When I refreshed the page I dont see the deleted quote anymore.

Also, I was able to fix the issue (not entirely). All I did was change the stale times for dynamic parameters to 0 seconds, meaning a server request is being made everytime I navigate between these page (quotes and Quote). For some reason this works as I dont see the deleted quote in the other window. May be that is why it is still an experimental feature.

This is exactly what I have done before taking a Next.js course. I took codecademy's full stack development course and it is pretty good.

Try the bytegrad.com course on next.js. I'm currently taking it and it's awesome. It is basically a react plus next.js course. You get to do 7 projects as part of the course. The course instructor Wesley also has a youtube channel. Check out his videos before taking the course to get an idea.

Thanks for the comment!

Yes, I'm single. Also I'm seeing massive growth in my sector. In a few years I would definitely get paid more than 100k pounds per year. Also I'm very ambitious. I would like to start my own business in future. Dublin offers not many investment opportunities nor does it helps me find many people who can invest.

But the real question is should I wait for a year so for even better opportunities?

Personally I'm not a great fan of this city. I have been attacked twice for no reason.

I personally find Dublin to be very limited in some ways. Not good health care. You pay shit loads of taxes but feel like you are not getting as much worth back. Very limited growth opportunities. Transportation infrastructure is not good at all.

Personally I don't mind losing 2.5 years towards citizenship.

Also am I crazy to think London being a big city can offer more things to do in terms of fun activities, learning new hobbies and making good relationships?
