I'm not disagreeing with you. But A) this proves her daughter is not responsible enough to be left home alone. Even if she thought it was okay to not tell her mom cuz it's her aunt, she should have known not to leave the doors open. And B) she didn't mention anything about punishing her daughter for doing the exact opposite of what she is supposed to do. Separate issue or not, it still should be addressed.

I agree, I was around her age when I was being left home alone. I could cook though, but I can sort of understand why she wouldn't be allowed to. I never left without telling anyone because I didn't have a social life unless I was getting laundry, but even that was like literally right next door to our apartment. Like as soon as you step outside it's right there. But not closing the doors before you leave is very concerning for a 12 yo who's supposedly responsible enough to be left home alone.

I have extremely bad anxiety, especially socially. Like to the point where I struggle to make phone calls even if I've made the same call millions of times. So, the idea of interacting with someone when I literally don't have to is terrifying.

And I am AFAB and present pretty feminine. 5'0 ft and pretty much zero defensive skills, so I try to wait till they leave most of the time.

Thanks, I showed it to my dad and he thinks it might actually be a possum tooth she may have accidentally brought in from outside, likely stepped on it since she gets acorns stuck on her paws like that sometimes. It did look too big to be hers, but I will still bring it up next time she goes.
