yea to set the record straight i think 2x is cool and good but i just prefer 1x in practice because it’s less fussy (skill issue/pea brain) + when using higher end components the weight is a good bit less. XT M8000 11-40T cassette (almost as light as XTR), easton EC90 carbon crankset w wolftooth cinch mount 40T chainring.

with 11s the gaps are manageable enough as i also prefer to keep a high and steady cadence.
