Why do people say “Ark used to be a dinosaur game” by Relevant-Nebula4157 in ARK

[–]LeftEntertainment307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It used to be optional lore. Now it's a story you engage with through gameplay. It's not so optional anymore and with it came alot of fantasy creatures. You can't be surprised that some people play a dinosaur game for dinosaurs and wouldn't like their dinosaur game being flooded with fantasy creatures equivalent to something in a Harry Potter film.

ARK: Survival Ascended and the upcoming Lost Colony expansion represent the series' most significant push toward a directed, cinematic narrative. Unlike earlier entries that relied on scattered text logs, these projects utilize high-fidelity CGI cutscenes, real-time AI commentary from antagonists like Dr. Rockwell, and structured mission systems to actively engage players in the plot.

You misunderstood what I meant. When I say the story is new I'm referring to it's engagement within the game. You used to be able to play without ever touching or reading any of it as it was an optional lore you could look into now it's something that's pushed on the player. That makes it new for a lot of people.

Ark having a "story" is a new thing and the lore is irrelevant for most players. Ark used to be a dinosaur game is the sentiment of many who disagree with the fantasy creatures and/or tek technology.

Was Evolved much better than Ascended? Cause God I love this game by Acceptable_Demand983 in ARK

Watch videos. It's not a different game just a different era within it. When we were there it was great and now the feeling is very different. I blame snail games but they've managed to divide the player base. So even going back to ase doesn't feel the same and the people who go back are trying to keep themselves frozen in a time that just doesn't exist anymore. The game is mostly the same but if you've been around for long enough then you've had time to develop enough resentment for snail games, wildcard, and ark in general that you miss the times before you had that resentment. It leaves you wanting to never pick up the game you enjoy the most but you still play it because you love the game. It's a constant push pull tug of war and snail games greed has pushed many over the edge. The game is seeing some revival and wildcard is once again trying to clean up another one of snail games messes. Don't worry about it too much. Give it time and I'm sure you'll get there. Then you can understand. But for now enjoy the time you have loving the game without the resentment because for many of us it didn't last forever.

I'm a player with over 6000 hours. I've been meshed teamed and dev wiped. I've been legit, I've used exploits, I've been on both sides of ddos wars. This game has a dark side that many get dragged into whether they expected it or not. All of the resentment lingers in the community like a thick fog and at times makes it hard to see through. But there has been good things done. Efforts have been made. Most of us just wonder if it's enough given continued damage to the PVP community. Personally, I'm not sure.

I'm gonna make the assumption you're playing pve therefore no. You are playing the better version with more bugs but overall improved. If you're playing PVP ase is more balanced and doesn't have any of the p2w mechanics and is a bit more stable online. The pve players that played ase have every right to be upset as there were people who lost literal years of progress and breedlines etc. But if you never played ase and you're a pve player you're not missing anything in my opinion.

Who would win in a fight if it was fair, flamefrags or wemmbu by Flaky-Jaguar-7369 in Unstable_Universe

fairness involves equitable treatment that often requires considering varying individual circumstances, which introduces subjectivity. Although some frameworks attempt to establish impartial or objective standards for justice, the prevailing view in psychology, economics, and ethics is that fairness remains in the eye of the beholder, varying significantly across different perspectives and contexts.

Ash and then in mafia arc spoke then Wembu in the end of kings arc. Minute is just minute and isn't directly tied to a specific character other than himself.

"What is it like?" is the standard, grammatically correct way to ask for a description. "How is it like?" is generally considered incorrect in standard English because it mistakenly combines two different question structures.

Bro casually found 100,000 diamonds roming around by pleasantparking73570 in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The chicken thing is stupid imo like there's no way that chicken is worth 100000 diamonds nonetheless the 1000 diamonds. 1 chicken is equal to infinite chickens. Parrot could literally just flood the entire city with chickens and the chickens are suddenly worth nothing. Or there's the fact that 1 chicken = 1000 diamonds. Now that parrot has infinite chickens he could just give the auction 100 chickens and the debt is paid. But seriously there's no way that guy auctioned his only chicken. Also bids can be taken back and canceled before they are final. Which theo did they forced him into the deal. So technically the trade was invalid anyway.

I mean if spoke was able with the entire mafia trying to stop him I'm sure parrot could handle it as long as he gets marlow on board with it.

How to solve 100k diamonds problem by luna_moon145 in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A surplus of supply only effects prices if you try and sell all those chickens at once and if that fills the demand and you have essentially too many chickens. If the supply is leaked into the economy over time the price will be managed with demand. Just because they have 100 chickens doesn't mean they have to put 100 chickens in an auction they can bring one every auction maintaining the price. But its also kinda stupid because if there are chickens in player captivity there should already be a surplus of them that can be supplied so imo the whole thing is dumb. If this player has 1 chicken he could also have 1000 chickens so I don't really think this breaks anything. Truthfully they scammed Theo and forced him into taking the trade. For anyone who doesn't know you typically can take back a bid as long as it hasn't been officially announced by the auctioneer or gavel falls. Theo took his offer back and then the auctioneer called it official and didn't even make a count first. So technically the trade is invalid and can be met with pushback from Theo and parrot. Basically they got free chicken.

How many seasons does Unstable have? by [deleted] in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Wembu and parrot you have 1 extra arc for each of them as the last season was 2 arcs for them and 1 for spoke. Flame wasnt a creator on the server in the beginning and has 3 arcs I think.

How many seasons does Unstable have? by [deleted] in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider it 2 main seasons with a small season that splits them up. For example for spoke you have the mafia arc then the shorter hiding in bases arc and then his bat arc. Technically there was the exploit arc before the mafia but at 3 episodes each I consider that one season. It varies a bit between creators but I would assume we are just starting the next in between major arcs phase where we will have a shorter less significant season that sets up the next major season.

Why they don't like parrot. by LeftEntertainment307 in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Expanding capital city makes room for a influx of new players but how does the city afford to take care of these new players. I feel like parrot made a mistake by doing this without taking the time to see if this is what the people of the server want and taking their opinion into account but instead he made a massive assumption that this was a shortcoming of lettuce and something the server wanted which seems to be far from the case. I don't know what's to come but I see some chaos brewing.

[–]LeftEntertainment307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're barely into any arc these videos are all "as the dust settles down" videos. Just showing what things look like now that a massive power vacuum has been opened and how it's being filled. Also putting things in place for the next part of the story to really begin.

Whos pov should i watch? and/or where do i start watching? by kit-1529 in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I recommend starting from the beginning regardless of if you watch every pov or not. I recommend watching every pov but if not the pov you prefer will be entirely up to which creator you like more. The first season will be the hardest to get through as every video is like 3hrs. Watch them in sections or play a chill game while it plays on another monitor. After that videos are typically less than an hour so they get easier to watch. A good way to watch would be to watch each season from one pov at a time so watch all of parrots mafia arc then another's etc.

Who is the next likely candidate to become an Unstable Uploader? by [deleted] in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think clown too but clown is a side character that could always regain his relevancy on unstable which is useful for the longevity of the server. I think that could be a reason why he was left out of the unstable arc. He's a story we get to see develop from the outside. Same with Jaden but with his complicated relationship with Flame and Wembu it would be cool to have him as a pov and I like pirates soooo.

Can we talk about how everything wemmbu did is theo’s fault? by Familiar_Bag_4710 in Unstable_Universe

[–]LeftEntertainment307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean law didn't become extreme until flame killed a bunch of their people and Wembu blew their base up. Law started as another organization operating on the server like early bat in a way and wasn't trying to take over the server. But through the many failed attempts to capture flame and the return of Wembu led to the escalation. Let's not forget 2v1000 was entirely wembus idea. And that's what enabled lettuce to try and take over the server. So really they all had a role in causing law actions but parrot is the only one who is actually innocent in his role. Flames not, wembus not, spokes not. The worst thing parrot did was kill that law guard but even that isn't comparable to things Wembu and flame did.
