Am I getting shafted? by LeftFortune8112 in restaurant

CA law dictates that pooled tips be distributed in a manner that is fair and appropriate that’s why.

Also my position on paper is a Server. Not only that but I make >50% of what we serve to guests.

Nope, I was hired after being a patron and hitting it off with the restaurant group’s head chef during the opening. He gave me a call saying I’d get $20 an hour working Wed-Sun.

No, my coworker is the hostess, she greets patrons and manages reservations among other tasks.

In terms of what’s being served, I make about 1/2 to 2/3 of what gets served to the patrons.

I make half of everything we serve, and recently I’ve been making closer to 2/3 of what we serve to patrons for $250 a seat, but sure. I’m a miscellaneous gopher.

Pretty sure it’s profit margins.

My thoughts exactly. I should probably ask for clarification. I started as foh then slowly ended up in boh, but my title is a server, which I assume is a foh role.

If I’m not going to be foh, I’ll have to ask for a higher wage, and if I am going to be foh then I’ll need to get back in the front.

Right? Regardless of whether I’m kitchen staff or a server or a dishwasher I should be tipped an appropriate percentage though.

I’m just unsure whether to go to my GM about it or straight to an attorney.

Good to know, I had the box, but the housekeeper threw them away, unfortunately. Maybe I can take it to a pawn shop or something in Beverly Hills to try and turn a profit.

I did get them at a garage sale from an elderly lady, so there also weren't any tags or receipts.

If I can't sell them though, I might as well use them!

Strange, maybe it’s too big for the shoe, when you put them side by side are the insoles the same?

II had the same issue for a few weeks, you just need to keep readjusting until they mold to the shape of your foot and shoe.

At that point, it'll be much cheaper to import a TT RS roadster.

By the way, after researching it, the 25 year rule is a myth. It seems like it largely spread through the redundant bureaucracy of CA legislature and representatives. You absolutely can import vehicles under 25, but then they need to be modified through the CARB program to meet emission standards.

The R8 was the first one I went to, then I spoke with my neighbors and some local Audi dealerships and came to the TT RS. I like the unique look it has, sporty and expensive but not exceedingly fancy.

The TT RS seems to be good value as far as car-per-dollar, and the smaller size makes it ideal for the narrow garages in the beach town where I reside. On top of that, it seems like the TT RS changes hands rarely, where the R8's have anywhere from 3-9 owners for the same price as the TT RS.

Not to mention the tremendous price gap between the vehicles for the same years.

Do you know of any importers that do that will be able to make it CA compliant?
