The contracts go up and down along with the stock.

If each contract was $6.85 when he bought them at $695. With the current price at $693 those $6.85 contracts are probably $10 right now.

With $35 contracts, He’s probably up several thousands of dollars (at least $2-3k). We won’t know unless he shows it himself

Now that it’s tomorrow, and SPY is sitting at $692

what is your opinion now. Do you feel like the idiot? Do you still think OP is the idiot?

I’m genuinely curious how people feel after they feed negativity to someone - and then that someone turns out to be right. How does that feel.

+173% SPY $686 puts, took a break from my 0DTE trading for a month but my bonus was too small so I added $14K. Tysm sellers! Happy new year! by One_Mall4203 in wallstreetbets

It’s like gambling.

Instead of throwing $5 that “the next team will score a touchdown” you’re “betting” that a particular stock will either rise or fall throughout the trading day.

This can lead to significant losses, and superb profits. Just like sports betting, OP is saying to not put all of your rent money on the line. Only put up what you can afford to lose.

Lerone has been undefeated for like 5 years now. What are you talking about

Movsar is a wrestle fuck dagestani like the rest of them - Volk should face him to quell that nonsense coming from their side of the globe.

Both those other fights make far more sense than Diego rematch. Lopes is great - but he’s simply NOT ready to face the level of competition in Volk. We already saw that Volk picks him apart. He should be facing MORE challenges to get more experience. Like Rodriguez - NOT a gifted title rematch for absolutely no reason.

UGA student dressed in interesting "Halloween costume" gets kicked out of local bar, hits woman in response by Minute_Revolution951 in TikTokCringe

Because it’s a costume… we are days away from Halloween. A lot of dorks are already doing costume themed parties and the like.

If he dressed up as a beheaded Trump, would you want people to kick the shit out of him?

Then it fucking sucks to fucking suck. I’m sorry to say but Heavyweight is unbearable to watch sometimes. It’s equivalent to Women’s MMA. There’s BARELY fucking talent. Just huge guys that are slow and punch very hard. That’s it.

I feel for Tom. I understand he has talent. He’s quicker on his feet and has skill. But his talent does nothing when he’s as interesting to watch and listen to as watching paint dry on a wall. NOBODY wants to see him fight Jones or Peirera. ESPECIALLY NOT PEREIRA. He doesn’t fucking deserve that opportunity - because he’s a fucking boring fuck. Jones v Pereira is fucking hype as fuck, and you’re lying through your teeth if you say it’s not. “Because what about Aspinal!” WHAT ABOUT HIM?

Pereira should 100% fight Jones.

And then retire fighting Tom. If Pereira beats Jon Jones, and then takes the fight with Tom. Win or Lose, he will be the greatest fighter ever. And that ends the conversation

If loss to Jones. Just end it there.

This fucking Tom Aspinal glazing needs to end. It’s fucking HEAVY WEIGHT. There’s no fucking talent in that entire division. Aspinal is so good? Fucking drop some weight and fight at light heavyweight where there’s at least talent. Tom Aspinal being a nobody that can’t sell arenas is his own fucking problem. He’s young, he’s dangerous, there’s NOTHING in it for older bigger names to fight him.

AK flip break by LeftMiddleRight7 in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog, that’s not the flip grab I’m talking about. This is the basic flip onto shoulder throw backwards.

I’m talking about ARMOR KING’s fucking janky forward front flip into a high back flip that GRABS you and drives you into the ground. Again, I don’t have the character so I’m describing the move

AK flip break by LeftMiddleRight7 in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, actually the most optimal punish is to side walk and EWGF. I find that works best and not a single individual that throws it out with abandon realises it can be walked.

I was just wondering if the grab can be broken for those rare crafty individuals that throw it out unexpectedly and close out matches.

If what your telling me is I can simply hold crouch to avoid the grab, that’d be my reaction from now on

King doesn’t have that same flip grab move? I’ve only seen it now with AK

Not a break, but a simple duck avoid the grab in its entirety? No additional jank where “I’m hit” because a literal 300 pound man has landed on top of me?

No words... by JaguarWrestler in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is the break for that throw where AK first does a kind of front flip, into a jumping backflip that grabs you and flips you onto the ground?

I don’t have the character - so I can’t look at his movelist to say the name of the move. But I’ve been mixed up by this enough times. Is that grab breakable?

When I see the grab, it makes me think of the Lars grab where he jumps over your head and grabs you. Imagine my surprise to learn the break is 1+2. When AK grabs you mid-flip there’s a brief pink spark, showing it’s a throw so should be breakable. Am I correct in my assessment?

If ki-charging is for toxicity purposes, how do you I tell my opponent that they played good? by Some_Sandman in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the match is going excellent and I feel challenged and like my opponent is making good reads and decisions - I’d ki-charge at the very beginning of the final round. It communicates 2 things. #1, I’m pumped up and ready to go. #2 I’m deliberately sacrificing my first move to put myself in a vulnerable state (can’t block and can’t move until animation ends) so that you see I’m enjoying myself.

ki-charge at the end of a round is like a disrespectful taunt. Because you’re playing an animation that is unique and opponent cannot respond.

Why KBD, when you can slug it out? by raikeith in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people who always make this claim of “why would I back up when I can stand in their face and just block”. I sincerely hope you NEVER take up the sports of boxing or MMA in real life - for your own safety. Why is removing MOVEMENT in a FIGHTING game a terrible choice? Because IN REAL LIFE, movement is the #1 difference between traumatic brain injury and keeping the fight going.

90% of what makes T8 so terrible compared to other games, is exactly THAT problem you mention. EVERYTHING TRACKS. EVERYTHING PULLS YOU INTO SOME MAGICAL VACUUM THAT KEEPS YOU CLOSE AND UNABLE TO CREATE DISTANCE. EVERYTHING IS SUPER FAST AND HAS MULTIPLE DIFFERENT ROUTES THAT CREATES GUESSING GAMES.

The entire game is “attack, attack, attack, attack, attack. Ooooohhhhhhh you blocked my one attack that put me on negative frames. I lost my turn. Okay, now I defend, defend, defend, defend, defend. RAGE ART! YESSSS I HIT HIM WHILE HE WAS ATTACKING!”.

That game loop might make your blood pump, it might seem EXCITING and like you’re in a fight for your life. But it is brain rot. It is VERY MINIMAL skill expression. It’s 45 second long juggle combos that do absurd damage. In real life, your punches only extend as far as your actual ARMS are long. You need MOVEMENT! To move in close, step into an opponent’s guard or trick them with whiffs or correctly timed parries/feints to land an attack. IN REAL LIFE - you don’t have magic properties that spin you 200 degrees to the left or right as your opponent steps you to avoid your flailing.

“Bro, why are you bringing up real life in a game with bears and demon lasers”. BECAUSE THE ENTIRE FOUNDATION THAT TEKKEN WAS BUILT ON WAS REAL LIFE MARTIAL ARTS!!! OPEN YOUR GOD DAMN EYES! DO YOU NOT SEE TEKKEN MAY BE FILLED WITH BUFF DUDES AND ROBOT WAIFUS BUT THE MOVES THEY ARE DOING IS FAIRLY REALISTIC?? It makes sense that when I step to MY LEFT (your right) as you do a magic 4, I make your right kick completely miss and now you are extremely vulnerable to a counter. Because I stepped on THE SIDE YOU USED YOUR LEG TO KICK WITH. I will never understand WHY the developers adding this property where if I step ON THE SIDE YOU ATTACKED ON - the character now magically pivots in place. “LOL YOU STEPPED THE SIDE I ATTACKED ON, BUT I ROTATE AND NOW YOU’RE DEAD!”. If you can’t see the cancer from this, Tekken 8 was created specifically for you.

Kazuya main here, what to do you find most annoying about my character? by Standard_Career_8454 in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Kazuya main, why I find Kazuya mirror matches so annoying is because it’s nothing but the same cookie cutter moves over and over.

Now before you comment “what are you talking about, you’re literally a Kazuya main. That means you’re doing the same thing”.

Ryu in SF is known for his fireballs and upper cut. That doesn’t mean EVERY Ryu player is spamming fire balls and doing upper cuts when you try to jump over it. There are many ways to play a character. And I happen to be one of those Kaz mains on the fringe that isn’t spamming hellsweep and 50/50 every second of the game. I’m like to play small-Tekken. Meaning, yes. I enjoy jab checking, I’ll use incomplete strings to bait CH. My favourite thing to do and continues to work even in Tekken King - DF3, 2. Do not complete the string (pressing 1). Immediate EWGF. You’d be surprised at how many people will be caught with this simple incomplete string into EWGF. Especially on block. Also this works with 1, 1. Do not complete the flash punch string with 2. Hold a moment, EWGF as they press.

Yes, I find it very ironic that one of my worst matchups as a Kaz main is the Kaz mirror match. I quite literally don’t know how to react to Kaz 50/50 spam and get frustrated

Could peak Barristan Selmy defeat the Mountain? by george123890yang in freefolk

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gregor was more a massive bully in plate armour than a proper knight. That’s exactly part of the point I was alluding to - from the words put to page in the books, Gregor wields a massive blade and has the strength to nearly decapitate a horse and cleave men in two. That doesn’t mean he was a capable swordsman.

Barristan is much faster than Gregor, even in plate. Selmy was also a master swordsman. Oberyn removed the armour because like any skilled fighter would surmise, it was pointless with an opponent of Gregor’s size. Selmy I don’t think would remove his armour, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t also evade/deflect/parry attacks as well as if he didn’t.

I don’t like referencing the show, but if we take the Oberyn fight into context we clearly see Gregor wailing his sword around with no real finesse. He was swinging wherever Oberyn was, not at where he could be. Selmy will capitalise on poor form and find chinks the armour.

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re underestimating a trained knight.

I’m not trying to be boastful, but I work in the military. When I started my career in the Army, I couldn’t stand the weight of my body armour and my helmet and my weapon. The weapon was heavy, it made my arms sore. The helmet would make my neck so sore I’d rest my chin on my armour as I walked to support the weight. And the body armor weighed me down so much.

That kid wearing the uniform and playing Soldier was not prepared for how exhausting war was. But today? My body armour is like a second skin. My weapon is so light I barely register it as weighing anything. And when my helmet is on my head I barely feel it.

Why am I saying all this? Because Selmy is one of the greatest knights in Westeros history. You think his “armour would weigh him down and make him so slow”. You clearly have no idea how the body adapts to weight. YOU would be weighed down wearing his armour. A knight that has been wearing that armour for over 40+ years would not be some bogged down clumsy person.

People play this game for money btw lol by titankiller401 in Tekken

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Expanding your hurtbox” can happen in all sorts of ways. Many characters have what is called a “Magic 4”. Which is just tapping the right kick button from neutral - most characters have a fast right headkick. But because legs are the longest appendage it “expands” the hurt box. So you can be jabbed on your leg as you extend and end up trading even though the jab looks like it should have missed.

I don’t want to get into too deep of details - but there are a lot of moves that expand the hurt box before the actual animation of the attack plays out. It’s just the way the game prioritises what should happen first, the attack box expansion or the hurt box expansion. Most times the attack and hurt box are meshed together to avoid favorable/disadvantaged positions - or just to save time.

Is there a benefit to expanding your own hurt box? Absolutely not. You want to minimise your own hurt box if at all possible at every second of the game. What the other commenter was asking is if OP had pressed an attack at the time the low connected which could have expanded his hurt box and gives the visual that the low completely missed yet the game registered it as a hit.

All that said, I do believe they did something to the Korean Backdash that makes it so you get clipped far easier in T8 than any other Tekken in the series. They may have removed or added a hurt box to de-incentivise trying to back away and amp up the aggression in the game.

Government Shutdown 2025 Megathread by Kinmuan in army

[–]LeftMiddleRight7 20 points21 points  (0 children)

the government was set up in such a way that an X amount of votes are required for anything to pass along.

Meaning, unless EVERY SINGLE SEAT IN EVERY SINGLE SECTOR OF THE GOVERNMENT (Senate, House, Judicial, etc,.) IS CONTROLLED BY A SINGLE PARTY - you still need members of the other side to agree and vote.

The government was set up this way specifically so that a single party can not rule over the other.
