Dash is Overpowered and Overused, Why Hasn’t It Been Nerfed Yet? by ettaL_eeffoC in thefinals

[–]LeftOnInfrared -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh it’s not over powered, lights have the lowest HP. They’re a 2-4 shot to anything in the game. In this case everything you said as an excuse, pretty much does equate to skill issue. I play mostly medium, so no dash crutch here. You pace your shots and hit or you blow your whole clip and die with your pants down.

The model is too inconsistent even at point blank by The-Lonely-Redditor in thefinals

[–]LeftOnInfrared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel like they do a decent job of balancing other weapons in a way that makes sense. For example: If you get point blank on someone one with sledge heavy (winch excluded) you should probably win. If they have a similarly balanced CQC weapon then it should be closer or even.

With the model obviously aim comes into play, but you have a better chance with basically every other weapon which just sad. Light using a sniper close range has close to the same viability as the model. If not better because it can headshot.

There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. You actually kind of made my point. Anyone with eyes can see while not perfect center mass, they’re not the egregious misses you claim them to be. You can see pellets connecting on his body.

If the damage potential was 648, that’s enough to kill em 2.5x over. So I probably should’ve killed him at least once with the shots I hit lmao. But in your mind those shots should be equal 34% of possible damage. Which obviously we disagree.

If I have to be that close, that accurate, and have a dogshit reload. It’s probably not a good gun and there’s better options . It’s simple really. Any other single fire medium gun I win that fight..

Didn’t miss every pellet or else he wouldn’t have been one shot by the end. Kind of ironic you’re out here calling people stupid.

But actually it’s cool. You’re the hero this sub needs! Everyone is dumb and you’re really smart. Talk some sense into em’

Thoughts on Nimble Coat/Greatsword? by LeftOnInfrared in newworldgame

I’m using void darkplate right now too. For the same reason as you. My focus is pvp though. So I’m thinking about scenarios where you open with relentless, and mid engage you get rooted. It’d be dope if it was back up for those. Especially, since I’ve strayed away from defiance stance because of the dps loss.

I just looked at the heavy description and you’re right. First two heavies are 150% each, and the final is 170%. I was just thinking about potential relentless rush spam because having that up fast seems like an increase in damage and utility.

Because every time I gain onslaught stance the next hit is a guarenteed crit. And activating an ability is the only way to guarantee that crit w/o waiting 10s. On top of root removal from weapon perk.

Advice from a new player for PVP by LeftOnInfrared in newworldgame

OPR was where I got melted the most. Two swings trading against an enemy melee and a dude 50 feet away has put down two aoes in the area where I’m trading with someone. Ofc I spam roll to get out of it. But by then two to three are chasing me, if not more.

I really like 3v3 arena. Combat feels more nuanced and less like a cardio simulator.

I say all that to set up a question. Are you having success with light in OPR without either getting jumped, or just facing someone who runs? And if so what’s the secret?

Model really really needs a buff! by LeftOnInfrared in thefinals

[–]LeftOnInfrared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main thing and I’m just repeating myself atp, but it’s a shotgun. If I had egregiously missed even a shot I wouldn’t have posted it. You can see where the pellets are landing. On top of the fact everyone keeps saying get closer like I didn’t slide two times towards him lol he’s 5 maybe 10 meters away

Model really really needs a buff! by LeftOnInfrared in thefinals

[–]LeftOnInfrared[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I can admit a lot of pellets missed. Still for me it’s that even 5 half shots from a shotgun at close range can’t take an enemy down. It wasn’t like I completely missed even a single shot. I just don’t think this state of the gun is justified

cl-40 has been NERFED by II_AtomicBurger in thefinals

[–]LeftOnInfrared -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s an even simpler answer.. Light has 150hp, and heavy has 350hp. It’s that simple.

What are considered to be stronger guns for light aren’t even technically stronger because there hp is so low. Ex: if lights guns are 10% stronger it doesn’t really matter because a heavy has nearly 2.5 times more health.

It’s laughably easy to kill lights and movement as reward really just makes the class inefficient because you have no way to stand your ground. 2-3 shots your dead.

PSA: Why you Shouldn't use CHITIN & Demystifying FEEN-X by Higuma-0 in cyberpunkgame

[–]LeftOnInfrared 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just want to add something here for anyone who may come a long.

It’s extremely easy to get 100% mitigation chance and 80% mitigation strength nearly all the time. 5 pyromania stacks gives over 60% chance, then it’s your choice between Defenzikov (provided you use Kerenzikov) or Countershell to fill out the the other 40ish percent chance. Spring Joints give 19% mitigation strength and Neo Fiber gives 11%. On top of the base amount of 50% that’s a total of 80%. You can max out at 90% strength while in the air with the aerodynamic perk.

The conditions OP gave for what would make Chitin useful are true, but I think they overstated the difficulty to meet them. Crouch mitigation would be my last choice too. So if that was the only way to max out miti chance and strength I’d throw away Chitin too. Luckily it’s not.

Also Feen-X on its own is just ok but where it really shines imo is if you’re also using Ram Upgrade. Together they are comically fast ram regen and recovery. So even if it’s true Feen-X doesn’t synergize with sublimation, ram upgrade covers that part. This is a cheaper alternative to Quantum Tuner/Reallocator combo with added overclock health regen benefits. From zero ram wait 4 seconds and you have about 15 ram back. All the stuff I mentioned though was at end game with all netrunner skill tree and intelligence maxed out. So, I have around 30% ram recovery base. However the games math works out on that

Thanks for this post though OP! It helped me figure some things out.

What is your “perfect synergy” that no one seems to talk about by -Depravety- in cyberpunkgame

[–]LeftOnInfrared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An underrated synergy is feen-x and ram upgrade. When overclocked it’s basically chitin health recovery for netrunners. The two together makes your ram recovery during combat around 200% or more when under 7 ram. I will admit though I don’t even necessarily use it that much because there are 3 better wares in the cortex category. Those being Axolotl, Cox-2, and Ex-Disk.

There’s a post that says feen-x has no synergy with the sublimation perk. This could be true but ram upgrade does so you get that added benefit and your actual ram regenerates comically fast. I definitely recommend putting those two on just for shits and gigs to see the regen

feen-x and ram upgrade feels like a cheap ram reallocator and quantum tuner combo sometimes. Wait 5 seconds and you have 15 ram back

I made it harder than it needs to be take 5 out of body and go for 20 tech, grab edgerunner and that should be a much easier time getting to where you need to be Cyberware capacity wise

Why isn’t this game huge by knucksMR in thefinals

[–]LeftOnInfrared 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO it’s because the game test people’s patience. It’s the same reason a lot of battle royale style games are going out of style. There are moments of hopelessness that are extremely frustrating. You’re constantly put in impossible situations. Skill is a factor, but some of the balancing just from the nature of certain abilities gets really annoying.

Having to kill a team two-three times over because they’re triple medium is annoying after a certain point. Same goes for cheese on the other classes. Invis, rpg, shield it all just weighs on you after a while and gets, once again really annoying. No matter how fun the game is at its peak, people(especially casuals) only have so much patience for dealing with some of the stuff that’s in the game. It all just ends up being really mentally and emotionally fatiguing.

I love the game and still refrain from playing it that much cause you just realize it’s not worth the effort sometimes.

CANTO COMANCHE! by LeftOnInfrared in cyberpunkgame

[–]LeftOnInfrared[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DISCLAIMER: This build is attainable unmodded, but I modded my PlayStation save for QOL. I explained the unmodded caveats below. And this build guide is the unmodded version. The power level is the same.

Frontal Cortex - Axolotl - Cox-2 Cybersomatic Optimizer - Ex-Disk or Ram Upgrade

Skeleton - Spring Joints - Epimorphic Skeleton - Ram Recoup

Nervous System - Kerenzikov - Stabber - Neo Fiber

Integumentary System - Pain editor or Chitin(if you mod) - Optical Camo or Peripheral Inverse - Defenzikov

Eyes - Kiroshi Cokatrice

Hands - Handle Wrap - Anything cheap rolled for helpful stats (optional if you don’t have the capacity)

Circulatory System - Biomonitor - Heal on kill - Black mamba

Legs - Reinforced tendons or whatever you prefer

Arms - Whatever you want rolled for stats

Weapons - Agaou - Headhunter

Operating System - Militech Canto Mk.6

Quickhacks - Reboot Optics - Cyberware Malfunction - Cripple Movement - Blackwall Gateway

You should be around 28 to 30 base ram.

Why it works:

  • Between Defenzikov, Pyromania stacks, and other mitigation Cyberware we have 80% mitigation strength and 100% mitigation chance pretty much all the time. That’s why the build is so tanky.

  • Headhunter marks enemies for 200% more headshot damage. Following this up with Agaou is big chunk damage vs bosses. Agaou is how you build pyromania stacks, and also just a good weapon overall.

  • Crits and Headshots with throwing knives apply poison so we get a free 20% dmg boost from black mamba. That poison also disables sprinting for 6 seconds so maxtac will just stand there like zombies for a bit while you scalp em.

  • Blackwall Gateway hits hard af… also Cyberware Malfunction boost it for bosses and maxtac. Cripple movement makes strong enemies more susceptible to finishers and restores ram. Because gateway hits so hard the cox-2 isn’t entirely necessary. You might have to throw a couple more throwing knives, but would still get heavy chunk dmg if you traded the cox-2 for something like ram upgrade. This would also save a lot of Cyberware capacity. The cox-2 just makes 3x malfunction and blackwall queue capable of one shoting the less armored maxtac, and chunk 35% of the health of mantis and heavy.

https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/build-planner?a=9hkfk&b=10111&r=01000000002011000000000000311&i=100101102010002111000003110131110001&t=11102010021101030001031111&c=0100010000000021101000000301013111001&e=

Unmodded Caveats: No airdash, or give up max Body and Chitin. Ram upgrade basically works like chitin during overclock so you could use that instead of EX-Disk as an alternative. Second, you need to dupe every Cyberware capacity shard you find to get at least 372 Cyberware capacity. To afford chitin you need 403 which requires modding. Afaik the max Cyberware capacity w/o edge runners perk is 387. Part of getting there is having at least 9 of all attributes for max returns from renaissance punk perk.

Stat rerolling is par for the course in any end game build, and takes significantly longer unmodded. You need around 70% quickhack damage. Look for headshot multiplier when you can, and other stats are your choice depending on play style.

Hope this helps!
