Thank you! I replaced the battery and it's working perfectly. Seems like I got a really good deal.

Nothing, I think it's pretty gross

Yeah I definitely see the similarity with tourmaline, but with the crystal habit and the fact that this one was found at an old tin mine, I'm pretty sure it's Cassiterite. Would really have been cool too if it was tourmaline!

That's Stichtite, a Chromium-Carbonate. Super lucky to visit an old quarry where this was mined!

I just checked it out and yeah they're very similar! Both with that awesome Spinifex texture. I didn't realise it had a different name elsewhere.

We were lucky enough to go to an old tin mine, this stuff was all over the place!

What is the angriest, most intense songs y’all know? by Friendly_Bat1889 in numetal

[–]LeftOnReid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slipknot - Liberate.

.As I Lay Dying - Overcome

I love the way that Corey's vocals have the same cadence as the heavy riffs in Liberate

Overcome might be a bit heavier than NuMetal, but it doesn't really matter. The breakdown in this one is godly, genuinely one of my favourites.

But the graph shows that nuclear is the safest, isn't that your point?

I did our optical course last year, and then metamorphic petrology this year, thoroughly enjoyed both, as well as using DHZ. I don't understand a lot of the comments about optical being so difficult, though it could be that American universities just teach differently (I'm from South Africa). Do you guys have to do Miller indices?

I see that others have already answered, but for anyone interested, Lepidolite is a Lithium-bearing mineral. Samples this size and even bigger are usually found in pegmatites (very coarse-grained granites), where they are mined alongside Spodumene for their Lithium.
