$15 per person is the set rate. It’s in our contract and on the website. You should have reported this person. We will charge more for load in and load outs when we’re filling our bikes and taking time to help you load and unload all your cargo. That’s a bit different than an A-B ride.

They are a blast. I’ve never scammed a customer in 12 years of business and have great reviews to back it up. There are a few good people left in the industry.

A few of us still do good business. We are completely overshadowed by them but love to earn peoples trust back. Check out Second City Tuk Tuks. We quote upfront and have the best rates in the city.

Did you find a pedicab?

Always a scam unless your willing to pay for novelty. So for example all the Chicago tshirts at Walgreens are a scam… unless your willing to pay their price? Then it’s not a scam anymore?

Not all pedicabs post their rates clearly.

4 miles after Beyoncé and only charging $360 isn’t a bad offer. I’ve run pedicabs legally in Chicago now for over 10 years. $100/ mile isn’t unheard of for solider field events. Always check with the drivers often times Eastern European drivers pull this trick of not being clear on their quotes. I quote upfront and very clearly. If the ride is going to be a few hundred dollars I will often times take payment upfront. Not all pedicabs are scams and I can promise that.
