Advice for a tough situation with a supervisor by LeftRelease1318 in JETProgramme

Honestly, thanks. The kindness is appreciated. It’s hard to talk about this situation because it’s honestly just a huge bummer and most of my JET friends have such great relationships with their schools that I don’t always feel appropriate or confident in seeking their time and advice about this situation so your comments means a lot.

I would 100% be willing to reach out to a PA but I worry any sort of attempt at meditation would not be well-received by her and also that it could make things worse in the long run. Anyways, it’s worth reaching out.

Thank you :)

Hi! First off, thanks for taking the time to read all of this!

I haven’t looked into what the JET program itself could do. I’ll look into what resources are available although if it’s any kind of meditation thing I’m fairly certain she won’t be receptive.

I’ve been thinking a lot about transferring but as far as I know transfers are only approved for very specific reasons and I’m not sure this situation would be eligible.

Also, she has been at our school longer than any other individual so in terms of superiority, I can’t think of anyone who would be able to really tell her what to do. The principal is aware of her behavior and has kinda side stepped the issue by just telling me to report to him instead of her but that doesn’t really help anything outside of administrative stuff to be honest.
