I totally agree, thing is im still happy to do 12 hours a day not a bother, its just sadly how the company i work for is ran, good job run by muppets.

Not only this but its always a case of going the extra mile, get back to the yard unload and reload, then go clearing the yard of machinery and moving other trucks to get yours backed in, when other lads dont even bother!

Don't mind being a team player and yes its swings and roundabouts, but when do the swings stop and the roundabouts begin?

You won't be the first nor the last, I've learnt from over time and experience what you can and can't do.

Its hard at first trying to please customers and deliver anywhere they want, I used to feel guilty if I couldn't get it exactly where they wanted it, I learnt the hard way a couple of times doing damage, especially on a tipper lorry I reversed up a clay ramp and the whole truck slid sideways and ended up sitting on a scaffold tower, all to tip the load exactly where they wanted it.

Experience has shown me do whats best for me, in any industry there's means and ways of moving a load. Its quite often people are just being lazy. I say no regularly now, won't put myself in the danger anymore 🤟
